So last night...

I was macro chopping logs (attended, like usual) and about 45 to 75 minutes into it I have someone pop up out of nowhere about 3 tiles away. First thought was "I'm about to die, damn PK'er, I'm just trying to chop some wood". Well I chop in war mode to avoid accidentally dismounting, so I mouse over to them to see if they go Grey or Red, they were Yellow! Like NPC vendor Yellow. "Oh crap! What have I done now?" Turns out they were just checking on me to make sure I wasn't resourcing unattended. This is a first for me, ever. There was a time when I would farm T2A (back in the day) over night and wake up to close to 30k logs at my feet and never get popped for unattended macroing (ban-able on Official servers).

I thought it was pretty cool that the time was taken to ensure that I wasn't "cheating" and thought I would share. Thanks Peppy for taking time out of your schedule to come and talk to me, it gets very lonely smacking trees for hours on end.

@peppy1992 :Was that you, or just someone else with a character name Peppy?

I used to spend like 5-6 hours mining at a time. Once in awhile @JoeB would pop up and I'd always go full * mode and start trying to strafe.

maybe I shud start crafting one of those days - but probably not worth the hustle without having 10+ bod runnerz

The monotonous actions are a relief from the stress of the day. I usually crack open a Guinness or two (or 4), turn off Num Lock, and use the 10-key to stroll from tree to tree. I like seeing how many logs I can collect before I pull up a snake and have to run to a guard zone to have it killed. Then I hit up the bank to unload, run off to sheep pens and cotton farm, and start over. Mining is a little more difficult as I can only carry about 28-29 ore and am only brave enough to farm moon gates.

I love the fact this shard takes such an active stance against cheating. Keep up the good work guy's! We love ya's for it (no homo)

I can't stand any of the other gathering skills. But there's just something about mining and listening to UO music that is just so nice...

I haven't seen you around lately. Even though you almost always win, I miss our fights!

I do not have the capability to kill them, or much of anything other then birds, sheep, cats, dogs, and rats. Almost died to a Rat Man a few days ago, my template has no room for Tact or Anat.

Your swordsmanship isn't really doing anything for you. Drop it add magery. Way more versatile character.

I think I will be doing that after I cap the LJing. The few .1s I get from hitting things helps when I get bored looking at trees.

They can? That's pretty cool and I will look into that. The poison won't kill them, will it? Hate to buy one and before I can get it bonded have it take a permanent dirt nap.
