Why spend the gold on a taming PS?

Hi everyone. I'm curious if there is any benefit to raising animal taming higher than GM. If you don't plan on trying to tame and sell high end pets what's the point? Does animal taming impact your control chance on commands given to pets I already own? (I thought animal lore does that) thanks for the input guys.

Hmm i always wondered that too but it will make it easier to tame stuff maybe for other people. Or if they ever add cooler stuff to tame youll prolly need higher than GM. Maybe the beetle although i heard they took its poisoning off and gave it magery which is dumb. Makes it a dragon lol.

1. At every 10 points for Lore, Taming and Vet over 100 you get a bonus stable slot.
2. Greater Control over pets
3. Access to pets that you can't tame at 100 - i believe the Night Dragon is an example of this

I have 2 tamers... Both GM Taming and 105 Animal Lore. Unless you want to tame or ride fancy new mounts. Dont bother buying taming PS, really just a waste of money. Lore effects your control,Taming doesnt. If you just want a tamer to farm with. GM taming + 105 Lore is perfect. IMO

Well said, my only counter to that is, What else are you going to strive for in this game? 120 taming just opens up more doors for end game play.

Op yeah ive seen it. Not really a taming guide. More so a guide to get around taming at all. And not much of a guide lol. Be rich buy and buy, or farm, like 50 taming sses lol. Although i farm 120k faster than i get one full taming point with gains lmfao so ive been debating it

ahh. I'm not rich either. I just had to be patient. hang in there man, hope you can get some quick gains!

Make a provo archer. Farm 3 mil. Raise taming to 80. Buy 20 taming SS. Delete provo archer. Play on tamer, realise how effective it is. Now, realise archer was more fun. Regret deleting archer. Rofl.

Control chance is a formula based on Lore AND Taming.Its weighted 80% Taming 20% Lore. Taming is much better point for point spent passed 100. There's really not much of a benefit to higher than gm lore. With 120lore i think you get 5? extra hp heals on pets.

81hp max for vetting with 120 lore. It does add up in the sense that you get better bandies in the 60's and 70's more freqently. I rarely get bandies in the 50's anymore, got them all the time at GM.
