On Saturday the 20th of December, The Secret Society will be hosting a public event located at the Britain blacksmith on the northern end of Britain through out the day. The purpose of this event will be to help new and old players alike by providing them with crafting services from all types of professions. Members of the guild will be asked to prepare their crafters prior to the event and gather the necessary resources and skill requirements to supply the community with exceptionally crafted items and services. For members who do not wish to use their own materials, they may be provided to you. We encourage everyone who participates to join the public UO Forever IRC server so that we may meet your demands in an orderly fashion.
There will be different types of interests in this event and all are welcome. We encourage everyone to participate whether young or veteran, rich or poor.
For those of you wishing to receive materials, simply join the UO Forever IRC server if you are capable and request the items within reason and they will be crafted for you. Bulk orders will not be met for the purpose of fairness. You may request any crafting services or materials that fall under trade skills. Runebooks, Armor, Weapons, Potions, etc. We will also be including services such as Lockpicking, poisoning, etc.
For those of you wishing to assist in the charity, join the UO Forever IRC server or contact Keith by whatever means you find suitable prior to the event and list your resources and skill levels. The crafters in this charity do not need to be The Secret Society members, anyone may volunteer. This can be used as a good way to get your name out as a crafter, hand out runes to your vendors, or offer sampled items in order to gain bulk orders. Please contact me atleast 1 or 2 days before the event takes place so I may take the necessary preparations.
Finally, for those of you who do not have quite as much time but would still like to help, we will be accepting any types of donations for this event, big or small. If you have spare ingots, potions, kegs, leather, crafting materials in general, gold, you name it, we will use it to give back to the community.
If this event proves successful (Enough people request items and take interest), we will be hosting this event every Saturday from now on. This being said, The Secret Society does not usually openly recruit and is by invitation only but if you are a crafter and interested in joining, please reply with your interest and we will contact you if chosen.
