Newb tamer questions

I'm at 98.8 real taming, I have gm provo too. How can I actually tame a decent monster without it killing me? I only have 50 peace at the moment. Is there a way to do it without peace?

Also any recommendations for a first pet?

Use the paralyze method. Beat it down to almost no HP, then para tame.

Cast paralyze or para field and spam tame over and over until it takes. Then stay within 1-2 ties and repeat until tamed.

When you say tame a decent monster. Does that mean for skill or for keeping to hunt with?

You can para tame like was said. How were you gaining skill up to this point? I found peace taming by far the easiest method to gain skill. If you meant a pet to hunt with you are high enough skill to tame a dragon. I can get one for you and trade it if you want.

Work peace to 80 and tame lava lizzards should not take u long to gm
