nerf meta pets/relics i constantly see them dominating rdas + champs

Hehe!

I agree that metas dominate RDAs But if you think they dominate champs it means you don't do enough of those

I'm in werkt, biggest tamer guild on the server, and more and more guildmates Are using zerkers to do champs. Much less hassle and more points in most champ spawns

I say tamers have rdas, dexers have fafnir and all the other bosses, But there should be more balance in champ spawns

i see provo tamers get top score constantly, mage tamers with lvl 7 metas in top 5 and i can crack top 5 all day on a provo archer/meta mage.

i can see a lvl 10 zerker with relics getting in top 5, as they should.

Zerker beats even archer tamer EASY in every RDA.
Zerker beats everyone at Arch EASY.
Zerker beats at most champs everyone easy.

Well i'm not so sure about RDAs, but I agree that zerkers beat tamers anywhere else. Which is stupid considering you can get a maxed zerker for around 15m and you need around 50m for a maxed meta tamer (10m for 120 taming, 25m+ for lvl 7 meta, 15-20m for maxed steed)

Also, it's so less stressful to play compared to a tamer where you have to constantly make sure your pet doesn't get zerged by spawn or griefed by other players.

The meta steed is a true end game pet and isn't a must have imo, the ww pairs very well with a lvl 7 meta for champ spawns.i think the playing field is pretty even, tamers get the luxury of provo + lvl 7 meta & steed or run pvp tamer, mage tamer or resit/wrestle/vet tamer and still come out in top 5 no problem + they still can farm a lot of mobs/areas that meta dexxer can't, they run the rda scene, hytloth boss, akor, warlock, invasions etc. Metadexxers are great for arch, riktor, champs, farming and invasions.

Zerkers can outdo damage sometimes at champs and arch demon. Meta tamers that have provo can do nearly the same amount of damage if not more. However, provo meta tamers get big advantages in every other scenario - RDA's, high end spawns, pvp, blah blah.

Tamers do cost more and it makes sense that the better end game content would require more gold, risk, and grinding to achieve. However, this just means that other play styles need to be given similar opportunity to develop their character. Addition character development for different classes is a huge benefit for players. If the risks/cost/grinding is equal then there's no advantage to choosing one class over another. It simply becomes a choice of play style. Its not just mages and warriors that could use development. Thieves, crafters, thunters, fishermen, etc could all become end game goals. If you look at nearly every update in UOF its clear that UOF end game character development has been largely focused on tamers. That's one play style out of many.

stop comparing apples with horse apples.

on topic: i think it should NOT be tradeable, but it should be account bound, not character bound. maybe a deed for making it account bound for ~1m at the gold sink would ne nice.

even though i'd love to just buy my talisman and be done with having to grind, I couldn't agree more.

being able to sell these would also decimate the costs of relics(which i feel should be blessed).

How about and I don't know if it's possible to code it that way you make it so talismans can be traded one time only basically a one charge trade. That way ppl could work them up and sell but can't flip flop chars with them. The economy grows with another high value gold sink. The ppl who worked them but didn't like them can sell and the people with the money to buy have the opportunity to purchase a built tali. Now i say one charge as in one just one time it can be traded not one time per owner. It would take care of the ppl complaining they can't sell them and take care of those complaining they can't buy them. Basically if you bought one it's yours permanently if you decide later you don't like it well that's too bad because you can't resell it. Seems the only legit way to compromise without making it so ppl can run one tali per 3 accounts. Ooo then could add new gold sink item trade charges for 100 million gold to make it tradable again hahaha

Making them account bounds hurts the game? But allowing defense talismans to be used by pk's doesn't?

I didn't realize it would be so game breaking to transfer a talisman from a blue to a red instead of rolling another char.

I mean, a new dexxer only takes 2 hours anyway right?
