7th skill?

looking for a good 7th skill for this template, was thinking hiding but dont know if its worth it with magery. any suggestions? skills are

the goal is not to take damage and is only for PvM so didnt know if those skills would be worth the points.

What about Discordance? I think there is a damage bonus on fire horns if you have all four bard skills!

drop peace..i tried a provo mage when i first joined the server. it wasnt very fun...you cant kill any high end stuff with magery (EVs)..they dispell everything. i would run..

if u had to have magery...i would only throw in about 40 just to recall. i never used it tho. the idea is to never get targeted

Why? With a pure PvM char with magery he can cast magic reflect spells. It's like casting invis instead of having hiding.
For PvP resist is a must, but PvM chars even with 21% magery can use magic reflect scrolls. A dexer with 0% magic needs resist, but a provo mage don't need.

You do not PvM in trammel so it doesn't matter if it isn't a PvP character. Reflect is not going to be active 100% of the time. Go against a few big casting mobs or a pack of wraiths and you will regret not having resist.

Good argument, but for me personally it's not a problem. I've got resist on my meta dexxers, but hiding on my provo mage/THunter. @King Dingaling is right, hiding would be the best. I don't know if an all 4x bard will be a fun char or there is really a dmg bonus on fire horns with all four bard skills.

There is allways the possibility of meeting PKs in the wrong moment. Low health or low mana and you're dead. :D
I dropped resist for hiding on my meta (alchy/scribe) and magic reflect is doing the job pretty well.

If you take a dump and this will take longer then usually invis will break of. Hiding instead will keep your save in a dungeon for a small break (doorbell or restroom).

But here we talk about a provo mage/bard, not even a provo archer. Hiding would be the best choice, sure, but i would drop peace too and go for stealth. ;)

I'd drop peacemaking and pick up wrestling/magic resist.

What's your reasoning for having peacemaking? I thought it wasn't any good on this server.

I have an archer/bard already with both peace and Provo, peace is good for the 1v1 monsters. It's a great farming character. I need something for champs though because my archer can't handle the number of mobs in the lower level of the spawn so was thinking the Mage/bard for EVs in the beginning and Provo for the later mobs.

Bards can't become meta. IMO, a bard is more like a supporting char for THunting and multi client PvE and PvM.

i run bard with taming and i wouldnt change a thing. i used to have a provo archer too..but once taming got up to 115 i stopped playing that character and deleted him. i dont do much champs....but EVs wont do anything against the higher level mobs. so you will only be good for the first few levels
