I personally did recall scrolls up until 58.5 (real skill) then jumped over to magic reflection scrolls (that will also sell well). I get much better gains with that then what you were showing with mark scrolls at that skill level. Once you have around an 80% chance to make a magic reflect...
The way i have found to make the empty keg not break the cycle is to drop the empty keg momentarily on the ground then pick it back up right after the macro starts filling potions from another keg. This would require you to be semi actively marcoing to manually drop the keg and pick it up again.
The NPC Thief GM is located in Buc's Den. It is the only NPC within the Pirate's Den building which is close to the moongate. Hope this helps!

Just for clarification for others: I believe that the skill numbers listed above are NOT the show real numbers. My fake poisoning is at exactly 70 (real 63.9) and I have stopped gaining off of normal poison.
