I don't know if there's much that can be done here. Ice island and the forested areas are rich with creatures.. unfortunately due to the high population of castles and keeps, most of those critters are stuck inside the walls of these homes. The doors are locked, you cannot enter to tame them.. perhaps if creatures didn't spawn inside of house walls this could be resolved. Every castle on ice has 10+ creatures stuck inside it.
