When making a crystal workbench it still crafts the broken/OLD version of the bench.
The only way to get a NEW version is to page a GM to exchange it.
OLD BENCH MENU
(Doesn't have the ability to make SILVER SLAYER)

NEW BENCH MENU
(Has the ability to craft SILVER SLAYER)

Is there an advantage to placing super slayer and slayer on the same item? I.e., reptilian and dragon slaying.

I wouldn't think so. Super covers all lesser of the same type. I believe you get benefit for layering different super slayers in the same piece of armor for obvious reason

Old version imbues newbie armor. New version does not. Which means newbied silver armor is impossible to create.
