Magi talisman experience borked

Under some circumstances, my Idol of the Magi refuses to award experience for spell damage. I noticed that I was getting no exp since I logged in this morning. I later decided to switch my karma lock in order to raise karma by using the [uof interface, and suddenly I was able to get experience again. Toggle the lock back, and no more experience. I would like to be able to get both experience and karma at the same time, halp!

I take it back, the toggle must have just been coincidence. It just doesn't seem to be awarding experience except in seemingly random instances.

I am currently trying:

• Unarmored
• Melee distance
• Flamestrike on a lich

u must have agro on the mob to gain exp this could be your issue

Nah, I figured it out. Experience gain formulas were changed without an update to the progressive patch thread.
