Yes its excessive. I think 5 mins would suffice. @eppy
I used To agree but when u have leveled up relics and talisman. It's a powerful thing. I like that it's a way to control it
Think of it as a pvm Stat loss. You can run around with a gm axe naked and kill things and with only a chance of a 15 min penalty box.
No it means most things.
do you not know or just enjoy being vague?
anyone with the defense talisman leveled up know if the "5% protection per level" is all damage reduction? only spells? can't find any details on this on the forum or the wiki
I guess I do enjoy being a little vague but mostly I try to foster a conversation rather than just popping off answers. I can't possibly answer every question so it's nice when other players jump in to clarify. If you want to bypass the teasing (which let's be honest is a bit selfish): it doesn't apply to poison or firebreath.
you feel an icy chill as your tailsman loses of its power.
Got a message like this today anyone know what this was?
Your talisman is in cooldown. More than likely you just removed it and put it back on (or slightly moved it of your paperdoll).
You are in a house with tali equipped dealing dmg to a mob and losing xp very fast.
If it was recently eqipped you will get msg: you must wait awhile before harnessing this power. during the 15 min cooldown.
I took out the loss of xp. They simply no longer work at all in houses.
I'm having fun leveling the talisman so far, but this is a really un-fun mechanic
The times I have died, I mostly have stopped playing and came back later.
Consider that we already have stat loss... 0 AR.
@eppy Any plans for a talisman bonus to accuracy? How about stamina gain?
i think it should be a 15 min cooldown total from first death or unequip. not restart timer every time you die
Might have missed a post on this but is there any way of changing the type of talisman on the same toon without going through the entire quest again?
No - if you want a different talisman on the same char - you need to do the quest again to obtain it. You can have multiple talismans per char, you will however get a 15 minute cooldown period when switching between them.
I'm just reading this now, but ...seriously?
I've played dexxers PVM for quite a while, and while it's fun to play an archer, I would say that OP is massively over stated. Especially when you miss 10+ times in a row, after drinking a greater agility and total refresh potion. Then one must take in the fact that an archer can only attack whil stationary, but a swordsman/fencer/macer can attack while moving. And IMO a macer with a warhammer...well, that's a force to be reckoned with.
Double strike? I'm completely unaware of this feature. 5 arrows with no delay...not sure how that works...I do good to get 5 shots in a row, period.
But yes, archers are overpowered. I can't count the times, as an archer, I've survived an "explosion, e-bolt , e-bolt" attack, much less a zerg.
When I first got my talisman, I didn't know AR played such a huge role in the effectiveness of the talismans.. I got a defense talisman on my Lumberjacker(lumberjacker uses 2 handed axes + no shield = not as much AR). That's fine and all, I just use a shield and katana when I'm leveling my tali or whatever. I have a lot invested in my LJ(115 Lumberjacking) and a lot invested in my talisman(stage 4) which really sucks.
My question is after I level up my talisman 100%, and I use an axe( no extra AR from shield), will the talisman be that much less effective? I know that less AR makes it gain xp a lot slower but I'm just unsure about how everything works together.
I am probably the only dumbass on the shard who got a defense tali on a Lumberjacker, I know and, yes, I know this is completely my fault .
P.s. What does the message "you feel an icy chill..something..something" mean?
Thanks for the help guys!
I'm not an expert and have a lumber with berserker at level 2 I hope that AR has a role only in gain XP and really hope to be in right cause it will be very hard use double strike agains a strong MOB with nothing or very low AR. At the moment I training vs reptilian and doing lizard without AR very difficult agains Drake impossible agains Dragon I think it's no sense to have in future this limitation to use special abilities agains mob that can drop you with one strike if you are naked
That's a very good point man.. Also, it seems that it's very unbalanced considering the pros and cons for the berserker to the pros Cons of the resilience.. it's not hard to get a lot of armor and that helps against mobs; but with no ar or low ar, that is a whole new level of difficulty.
