Wrestling is a skill that uses your fists instead of weapons. It does very little damage but can be used to strike a target and interrupt their spell casting. It compliments Mages for this reason as well as mages need 2 free hands to cast spells or meditate. Timing a well placed hit will interrupt a Greater Heal or Flame Strike which can mean everything. Grouping Wrestling with Anatomy will also provide you with a passive Defensive Wrestling ability, reducing your opponents accuracy with weapons causing them to miss more often against you.

Wrestling has two special moves. At 70 skill you can Disarm an opponent and at 90 you may deal a [[Stun]]. You do not need the Tactics skill to use these abilities.

Wrestling has two special moves: Stun and Disarm. With at least 80 Wrestling and 80 Anatomy, you have a chance to Stun your opponent. With 80 Wrestling and 80 Arms Lore, you have a chance to Disarm an opponent.

The chance to successfully Stun and Disarm takes into considering both your Wrestling and your Anatomy or Disarm, respectively. To have the best chance of a successful strike, aim to get both as high as possible, ideally to 100.0 - You will of course first have to successfully hit your opponent as well!

In a scenario where you and your opponent have 100 wrestling, you have a 50% chance to hit him with a normal punch. If you have Stun or Disarm toggled, then another calculation is used to determine your chance to hit that Special Move taking into consideration Wrestling, Anatomy and a base chance of stun.

The maintainers of this archive are unable to provide an accurate value for the base chance. If you are determined enough, you may discover the details of the original base chance but know that the Game Masters have the ability to adjust this value as they see fit.

Description

Wrestling is a skill that uses your fists instead of weapons. It does very little damage but can be used to strike a target and interrupt their spell casting. It compliments Mages for this reason as well as mages need 2 free hands to cast spells or meditate. Timing a well placed hit will interrupt a Greater Heal or Flame Strike which can mean everything. Grouping Wrestling with Anatomy will also provide you with a passive Defensive Wrestling ability, reducing your opponents accuracy with weapons causing them to miss more often against you.

Special Move

Usage

Simply punching a target will interrupt their spells with wrestling. To stun, simply "Arm" you stun (I advise setting this to a hotkey) and hit the target. Stunning a target or failing to stun a target will consume stamina. It's ideal to carry Refresh Potions for this. Stunning a target will lock them in place for 3 seconds, keeping them from moving or casting.

Recommended Leveling

0-50: Train from NPC
50-100: Simply attack a target with your fists. Using this on an alternate character is ideal.
