Preferred Tamer Template?

I'm looking to start a new tamer here in the next couple days and am debating in the template I want to use. Currently I'm thinking

Mage
Med
Peace
Music
Taming
Lore
Vet

I've had vey little experience on a tamer and was just looking to get some input on that setup if anyone has experience with it. My current thoughts for this char since it will be specifically for PvM purposes is eval will be a waste of 100skill points as I plan on pets doing dmg while I heal via vet and Margery if the situation calls for it. With that being said is meditation also a waste of 100 points? Maybe lower to 80 or 60 even in place of 120 taming/lore? Or if med is a waste all together what would be the next best viable skill and why?

You may look at a provo tamer template instead of peacemaking. You don't really need peacemaking for anything, but you can use provoke to take on big mobs pretty easy. Just replace Peace with Provoke.

Single Target peacing in the game is awesome but AOE peacing is worthless.

For what it does, yes peacemaking is cool. Overall though, provoke is a more useful skill to have unless all you plan on doing with your tamer is tamer new pets. If you play on doing any real farming, then provoke is a better option.

Ya my main is a Bard on my Orgin account and I can't imagine not having Peacing but it actually works there AoE. Here though and this is not a complaint( because clearly I'm playing here) with Only 700 skill points I'm still debating on dropping Peacing. I have GM provoke of course but things are tight because I insist on keeping hiding.

Yeah for a tamer.. I wouldn't have hiding.. I mean you can just stand behind your pet dragon :)
Never had a Tamer, I know it's OP and the cookie cutter build, buuuuttttt... I just like hanging back in the shadows when the Tamers die and loot them on my thief lol.

Well I have a Provo/archer/Mage currently. Main reason I wanted peacemaking was for it's single target use to help speed up the taming process. Make my life a little easier. Maybe start with peace until I get my desired pets and then go forward and drop to Provo?

Once I finish up finding good pets and bond them really no sense in taming any new. I'm not out to hunt rare pets or to sell them or anything.

I did on my 7x tamer

Mage
Med
Eval int
Lore
Vet
Tame
Rezist

I did this cause I was getting pk all the time.
Now when 2-3 reds roll up I can usually kill 1 or 2 and stay alive and I don't see any decrees in my farm. Pretty fun when a red pk mage runs up to burst me and out heal and rezsit his burst while my drag and made show him who's boss usually all I gota do is drop an xp poison combo and gg only annoying when vs

i agree to do a provo/tamer. Peacing works wonders for training taming though, I kept it till I like like 86... then ate skill scrolls. I'm actually in the process of building a test char for pvp tamer. Char will run trained high int/str young drags (from what I can see they are better than mares, because pack instinct is not on this server)

100 Mage/Resist/Eval
80 Tame/Lore/Vet/Healing/Meditation

Essentially the resist/healing (+potions) are to keep me alive, while my young drags deal damage and I have eval for my own offensive spells. I already have a 105 tame/lore/prov farming tamer (still working him) and this new toon is just for fun.... we'll see how it works I suppose :)

This is what I ran until I got a meta and leveled it to 5. I found that peace was helpful while training Taming to 110, and while leveling my meta to 5. It kept me from getting hit, and kept my meta's stam at max while fighting mobs. Now that he's lvl 5 and I'm going to eat scrolls to 120 Taming, I dropped peace for med.

Currently my skills are
110 Taming
110 Lore
100 Med
100 Magery
100 Music
100 Provo
90 Vet

I'll probably move a few things around, but I ate a 115 taming so I'm working on scrolls right now.
