My word is my bond ! If i ever personally obtain a QS relic , i will hook u up .

Sorry i cant expect my guildies to sell you cheapzzzzz ! most of them need the gold as they just came back from a long break recently .

You are a man of your word!

But honestly, I'd like to get my own... that's part of the fun in this game IMO. Give me a reasonable chance and I'll work on it my self. :)

Supply - constant relics are dropping all the time.
Demand - static only so many tamers out there (sure there will be new tamers but there will also be completed pets hitting the market)

So the only reason the wouldn't drop over time is overall inflation which is a problem independent of meta.

Once again I say most complaining can't say they have done a lot (or even any) Rda champ event solo to know what drop rates are. I'm certain if the gm told us the total number of relics on the server it would be more than an average of one a day since they were introduced and the fact most don't hit the market has given people the false sense its the drop rate that is the problem.

I can assure you

1. I did a lot of champs and RDAs
2. I have absolutely no interested in relic prices dropping
3. I've been playing on UOF for nearly 2 years and it took me just that to get the pet/relics/taming (115, can't afford a 120) I have now

I don't mind it being that long. But when I bought most of the things I have, they were cheaper than now.

That means for someone playing as much as I did it will take him more than 2 years to reach that point.

That means I can't sell my pet to more than 15-20 people on the shard, a third of them already having one, another third not interested in one.

That means if I ever sell it, I'll have to give some "parts" of it for free, being discounted relics or free EXP. If after selling my pet I want a new one, I won't only have to use all the gold I made selling it, I'll have to spend countless hours to train it back to where it is, which should have been worth something in the first place.

The ONLY reason prices went up that much (2-3 times what they were 6 months ago in the middle of the meta madness) is that demand went sky high and the drops stayed the same.

I bet y'all a zillion pitchers of water 90 % of people not agreeing with my post just don't want to lose the gold they invested.

Absolutely selfish.

Well sincei have no intention of selling mine I'm am not worried about losing gold or value. I got a meta because I wanted a meta. As I said prices have jumped because the average player is now getting their egg meaning more people fighting over relics. As relics are dropped this will go down again. Prices fluctuate and if you react every time the market moves you will never find balance.

I'd love to know the # plus the list of player getting them. would be interesting to know the stats! :)

Either way it doesn't change the fact the that UOF economy is in trouble because of these types of things.
@Beige said it best. "I hate the fact that people can get items worth 5m to 10m at all, be it by skill or luck. You can't make anything like that doing anything else"

It's like winning the lotto... be one of the lucky few to get a QS, 120 taming, win a castle *cough* etc: and instantly become one of the richest people on the server. It kind of slaps everyone else in the face that has been working their ass of from the beginning.

This is a vicious circle.

Old, rich players having metas with relics, scoring higher at champs, getting more PS, etc., big guilds controlling spawn so securing relics, making them less and less affordable for "younger" players (and by that I mean 1 year, 1 year and a half year old players in most cases).

And I'll let you explain to me how inflation works, just so I can laugh.

I really don't know how to explain it in english but i try..

lets say i spend 1 hour to make 10k then to buy something which requires 1 hour of farming i will pay my 10k.

Now imagine i make 100k in an hour, now my willingness to pay is a lot higher and i can pay 10k + a delta for the same stuff that i bought for 10k.

Simply the prices will go higher during the time the more you introduce golds in the market.

Some people are going to be lucky and you can't have desirable items without having the possibility of someone getting lucky.
And BTW:
Valorite hammer Bod- couple mil
Blaze statue 10m
Good plot couple mil
win a lotto
Craft a perfect frost slayer bow
The list goes on.

Except for the fact that I said early on I have gotten all my relics as my own drops and 3 of 4 were while solo.

How can you have inflation when all other items have lost value, and are selling at extremely discounted prices, if they sell at all?
Because no one wants water when beer is on the menu. Its all an obvious sign that people are willing to save for these things because they are desirable and that is the way it should be.

As you say, the only things that have an impact on inflation on UOF are gold from mobs and gold sinks.

Gold sinks are not very effective on vendor. It is only working when they make a big raffle, which I can be wrong but didn't happen in a long time (unless I missed one during my break).

Now the gold from mobs. I, of course, don' have the stats to prove it, but I'd be surprise if the gold added in the market thru mob farming added to the overall gold that is on the shard considering people quitting, taking breaks, and the few gold sinks that actually work.

Inflation, if any, is marginal. Nothing that can explain a 250-300 % bump in relics prices over 6 months.

If inflation was responsible a 2 mils relics 6 months ago would sell for what... 2.5 mils TOP now?

Dots don't connect.

This about sums it up. Housing is perfect evidence of how jacked up the economy is. An amazing castle spot is worth 1 quicksilver relic....

Meta is the one place you can put your money to improve your game play (damage per second or gold per hour). Nothing else you can buy will actually help you earn. With the exception of slayer armour slayer vanq weapons or slayer spell book and guess what these all cost a lot. These items are expensive not because they are uber rare but because everyone wants them. Sorry but not everyone gets a trophy in Uof you may have to work for it.
