I agree it should be. But I also feeling that being blue should be equally risky, profitable and punishing.

I agree with all but the last part, Punishing? For being a good guy? Come on even you have to say that out loud and realize that sounds dumb. Risky? Hell yes, but blues are the good guys, reds the bad guys. So reds deserve the punishment, not the guy who is blue. I think this is the problem overall with this line of thinking, Blues should be punished for being blue? Or because reds are? Maybe I am not understanding what your point is or you are trying to make. I dunno.

Look at it from my perspective. I am an orc. A blue pvm'ing is murdering and looting my kin, friends and pets. Maybe I should get notifications whenever a blue murders an orc- with the option to ransom a head back to them!! HOOWAH!

Wrong, I see pks in the top and second levels of despise. Look I am in the middle, I see both sides so no one is right but no one is wrong. Pks can be a pain to newer players, but young status also last long enough for them to get a foot on the server. However once that is gone? Sorry but someone newer doesn't wanna be pked 5 times a day killing fucking earth eleys. Anyone pking in lowbie dungeons or around low level monsters are NOT looking for pvp, but to kill and loot easy targets. Some pkers are looking for pvp, most are looking to gank or kill anyone moving for loot. To say otherwise is a lie. I don't get pked enough to hate them, but I see enough newbs leaving because they were killed yet again killing ettins and ogres in top world spawns or shame or despise. Anyone killing there in my book is not helping the pk's case. Again pks whine, don't make it harder for us, then call anyone who does want to make it harder a trammy(Ironic aint it) or such. Then again anyone blue and not into pvp cry when they get killed killing MOTM monsters...Like duh no shit thats gonna happen.

Maybe, just maybe both could stop pointing fingers and both come up with a way to make the server that much better, but that would be too hard for most of the ego's that play here.

I don't see it as pointing fingers. I kinda see it like this. People play the game as they want. If it isn't an exploit and within the existing ruleset then there isn't an issue. Everybody pk's at some point. Whether it is seeing a grey in Khaldun and attacking. Ganking some poor soul at an event who made the mistake of looting the wrong corpse. Killing innocents who are farming or working an champ spawn. Or even running around in a large pack of blues and ebolt railing on single red players. Sufficient penalties are already in place that set a char out for 2 days or pay a fine. There is no need to reinvent the wheel.

My hope isn't to just punish, but to have a system that promotes interesting gameplay. It is a lost opportunity to promote a natural conflict.

If the whole ransom/bounty system in its current state, were removed tomorrow, I bet no one would make a fuss. The idea is solid but it lacks the proper incentives and disincentives required for people to want to participate in it.
