Why do swamp dragons sell for so much? Are they hard to tame?

Both hard to tame and very hard to acquire since the spawn is limited to a certain location and very infrequent.

Oh gotcha. I want one bad but I dont think I will have that cash for a long time haha. Maybe by the time I do they will make them easier

The tough part is, the cost isn't limited to the animal itself (running about 700k right now). To take full advantage of it, you need to buy barding for it which is around 300k. Obviously you don't want to take it out in the world before you allow it to bond (7 days after feeding it). But because the grief tactic of pet-stealing is permitted here, it's a good idea to invest in a pet summoning ball which is a donation item (1.5k dono). It allows you to pull the pet back to you if it gets lost or taken. So, the total cost is easily over 1 mil. That said, they're great for PVM.
