Tamer #1 tames animal A

So lets say your raising taming skill, you've done the research and know how to calculate which animal / monster to tame for your current skill level and you have read all the guides known to mankind on uof and osi websites. Through your findings you have learned it is optimal for you to be taming, Great Harts, Grizzly bears or Snakes. So you mr. Tamer #1 tames animal A and renames it "SpongeBob" and moves on to the next animal, Why in the world did you not kill it? the skill level to re-tame it for you will be to high. Oh because it will help the next tamer with higher level skill than u when he comes along! You cant re-tame it, the game wont spawn any more. If tamer #2 has done the same research as you, it will lead him to the same spot your in, wanting to tame the same animals that you are, but he cant because your name is all over the map due to you not killing your tames.

I hated it, and then when I got to higher taming, I loved it. Was nothing like showing up on dagger isle and finding white wolves everywhere with 2-3 tames on them already, was like your own little taming jackpot

All those tames became my meta steed food back in the day.
That'd be the way to go if you're starting your tamer/meta from "scratch" and you intend to get busy ASAP. Kinda wish it was how I bonded with my snake. In the pre-meta days the tames were just magery training and leather farming. Never had a macro to auto rename. I really barely messed with renaming unless chain taming with randoms but I usually tried to do it with a green partner so we didn't have to fool with it.

When you tame a creature the game automatically spawns another. The problem really lies with people not renaming their tames as you have no idea what skill level is required to tame the critter.
I don't believe this is very accurate due to when I arrive at Moonglow or Minco on a day to day basis or hours per day, rarely seeing a Great Hart but when I start killing my tames, moving to next location, by the time making it back to my first spot, Harts already spawning.

There could be a limit per spawner or it could even be a variable spawner. So say you tame a GH and it respawns as some other woodland creature that don't meet your needs and you leave it alone. You aren't going to see any GH respawn until you kill it or probably for good measure just clear it all.

Generally speaking though, if you tame a creature as far as the game is concerned the creature is "killed" and the respawn timer starts over.

Yeah, whoever keeps killing all the great harts in hart park is kinda screwing all the higher level tamers. Used to be a great spot, now it's just full of deer corpses and stuff you can't gain on.
