No one "pressured" anything.
6m means nothing to me.. but I'm not going to bother running an auction for people to PM bids only.
The only reason I didnt take Nihilism's original 6m offer twenty minutes after posting the thread was because several people complained about my auctions ending due...
What's amusing is that most of those in this thread have purchased from me in the past and know that I typically sell for the first PM I get with a halfway reasonable offer.
I've sold many scrolls at half of market price just to get rid of them and I've given away dozens more.
You don't want...
Are you stupid?
The intent of leaving the auction open was to encourage/allow bidding.
The interested parties refused to bid in the thread citing not being outbid or "driving the price up" as the reasoning.
Last I checked that was the purpose of an auction.
The amount didn't matter to me.. hence why I didn't take the original 6m offer from Nihilism.
I intended to leave the auction up til sunday, but you guys all refused to bid until last second in order to "not be outbid". Why run an auction if that's how shit's going to be?
So you're whining about me not following through on the AUCTION PROCESS, but PM'ed me stating that you wouldn't bid til last minute... in order to negate the AUCTION PROCESS.
Holy shit you Trams are hilarious.
I turned down the initial b/o offer in order to run the auction and give people a chance to bid. The people instead chose to only send PM'd offers instead of bidding because "I DONT WANT TO GET OUTBID WAH WAH"
Your own fault for A) being cheap fucks or B) thinking you'd snipe the auction
You faggots in here whining about me selling the scroll through PM after "preaching the sanctity of an auction" are the same ones who sent PM's to bid instead of actually fucking bidding. I asked ALL 4 of the PM'ed buyout offers to BID IN THE THREAD.
You want an auction to run its course...
Welp, multiple people were PM'ing offers for buyouts or intending to snipe it on Sunday as opposed to bidding in the thread so I took a buyout offer.
I will not say who or how much.
People have complained recently about my auctions ending early due to PM'd buyouts even on things like 2-300k scrolls, so I didn't want whining on this one since it's the rarest scroll.
My reasoning for turning down the 6m offer is that it's only been up for 1 day and that's not enough of a jump to end this auction.
If the actual bidding only hits 5.3-5.5 or whatever then so be it, my loss.. but I'd rather leave it up for 2-3 days so anyone interested has a chance to bid.
I have turned down a 6m buyout to let people bid.
I do not expect this to surpass the 5.7m that UoTrader's fetched, but 6m isn't a high enough offer to justify ending the auction after 1 day.
The reserve price is the s/b.. so this will sell.
How is this on page 3 already? Jesus.
* I started this at 5m because of the bids on the last one that sold. I don't expect it to go for much more (if any) than the 5.7 of the last one but only want serious bidders and won't end this early unless someone with way too much money pm's me a 7.5m...
