Some people don't like/want certain relics (e.g. Phase Shift or Infected Wounds). Therefore you get to choose if you want all four or not. I'd recommend all four but some people reaaaaaaaally don't like Phase Shifting into dangerous spawns :D

Are you sure they are silver and newbified? That would make them one of a kind or at least super duper rare. As far as I know, it was never possible to apply silver to newbified items. The first workbench version allowed newbied items to be slayered but the silver recipe did not work at all...
