You are lying, or at least misdirecting.
You didn't even say what kind of paragon, how.... scientific of you; to say nothing of how you switch from 120 provo to 'GM/GM' in a heart beat to make your point about 100% provo chance; I never said GM provo would 100% anything, why you said it I'll...
I'm all for diversity.
I'm against buffing mages; which is mostly what SC shields are. All that would really create are higher diversity.... of mages. And this has only come up because of axers, and the other mage-whine thread complaining about AR and LJ dmg failed. AR from invul leather was...
If you want to squeeze a few more points from your builds, I'd like to point out that Music is the general % of how likely you are to play right.
If you have 120 provo and 100 music you have 100% chance to provo a dragon.
If you have 120 provo and 50 music you have 50% chance to provo; you...
Spell Channel shields come with a decent chance to spell reflect spells right?
Or is this a mage only buff, because "reasons"? What is your thinking as to the need of the buff?
I'm curious as to what template you have in mind if this buff comes through (#NoSpellChannel, #NoManaShields)?
How...
I'm sure it's a complete coincidence that the most popular mage players in the forum have come to defend spell channeling shields; the one thing that could save them from the axes that chop them in half.
I'm sure it has nothing to do with kingdom shields being infinitely cheaper than a full set...
Yes, it 100% works. Even if you're "not sober" and you forget to pick the dungeon chest first, Magic Untrap will still disable the trap; telekinesis will not (telekinesis requires that the chest be able to be opened to work).
No spell channeling.
This is just a mage's argument to try and subvert the game mechanics to place themselves back on top.
I do like the kingdom specific shields though; sweet idea.
Don't listen to them, Magic Untrap is fine, and I've been using it for months; it disables rather than sets off the trap (less noise for potential PK's to hear, plus you can stand next to the chest if need be), it's cheaper than telekinesis scrolls, and it uses less mana.
