Yes, that's what I was told to do by the more experienced player. He said just make sure that you always keep one pile of the lighter ore in each pack mule and in your backpack and the ore will combine/transform into the lighter version of it. So just use care to pull one ore out of the pile...

I doubt it. I get checked on like 3 times a day sometimes when I am mining. I just use the 'use last' macro inside the options tab and do everything else manually. I think it keeps me alive more and if I used a script that guy with the llama would throw me in jail. Oh, it also keeps me awake...
