As you have all probably noticed by now, factions have been reset and have received some significant updates. I will outline the changes here. Faction Interface A new faction interface has been added which can be access by typing [faction. It will soon replace the majority of the faction gumps. Faction Statistics Displays general and personal statistics for your faction Faction Roster Shows all characters currently in the faction. The roster is sortable by name, guild, rank, points and online status. To sort the roster, click on the appropriate column header. You may search by name and guild. [T] beside a name denotes if the character is a thief or not. The War Map Displays the status of all towns as well as the location of sigils. Sigil Status This gump displays current sigil owners, sigil capture status as well as the bonus associated with each sigil. Towns Displays the status of each town. The interface only provides details information if your faction controls that specific town. Otherwise, it only displays the town name, town owner and the current tax rate. Faction Commander Controls Town Management Allows you to easily interact with your factions controlled towns. The interface is still being worked on. Faction Sigils Sigils will now give bonuses Sigil of Animal Affinity This sigil grants those who control it mastery over beasts and monsters. It increases creature skill gain as well as increases the effectiveness of your commands. 100% chance to command a tamed creature that you can normally control. Increases creature skill gain by 10%. Sigil of the Bountiful Harvest This sigil grants those who control it mastery over the land. It increases the amount of resources you gather per node. This applies to fishing, lumberjacking and mining. 30% more resources gathered. Sigil of Craftsmanship This sigil enhances a craftman's abilities. It increases a players base chance to successfully craft an item as well as the chance that the item is exceptional. +15% to your base chance to craft an item. +10% to your exceptional item crafting chance. Sigil of Haste This sigil increases your capture times in faction PvP. It allows you to capture sigils and points of power faster. Doubles your capture speed on sigils and points of power. Sigil of Murder This sigil grants added protection and bonuses to murderers. It allows faction and ethic weapons to be used on regular players. Faction and ethic weapons can be used on regular players. Sigil of Portals This sigil grants those who control it easy access to new worlds. It will spawn a second entrance to 1 portal per portal rotation in the controlling factions base. Portal entrance spawns in base. Sigil of Treasure This sigil grants increased treasure to those that control it. There is a small chance that monsters will drop a faction chest with useful or rare items in it. 1% chance for monsters to drop a useful chest of goodies. Sigil of Wealth This sigil grants those that control it increased wealth. It increases both silver and gold drops. 15% increased silver from players and monsters. 10% increased gold from monsters. Sigil of Wisdom This sigil grants those who control wisdom beyond their years. It grants increased skill gain and XP gain for meta creatures and talismans. 5% increased skill gain. 25% increased XP gain for meta pets and meta talismans. Faction Colors New colors have been assigned to each faction: The True Britannians Primary Hue: 2125 Secondary Hue: 1357 The Council of Mages Primary Hue: 1759 Secondary Hue: 1365 The Shadowlords Primary Hue: 1175 Secondary Hue: 1755 Minax Primary Hue: 1779 Secondary Hue: 2207 Faction Joining Restrictions You can now only join one faction per IP. Faction statloss has been increased to 5 minutes. Factions will now have a cap. When the faction with the largest # of members has 10 above the next largest, it will no longer be joinable until a new faction eclipses it in membership. Large guilds can still join other smaller factions even if they are very close in number to the next largest faction. Faction statloss will be applied to all faction characters on an account. Faction Ethics New faction ethic titles have been created. Ethic spellbooks will now be able to gain levels by using lifeforce points on them. Levels will power up the ethic spells. Faction Traps Faction traps will once again be quite lethal. Faction War Horses Faction war horses have received a buff to both damage done and overall health Faction Cities The sigil located in Magincia has been moved to Nujelm. Ocllo will now have a sigil. Magincia Magincia has been rebuilt and the CoM faction will once again be located there New Factions Vendors Season 2 silver vendors have been added. They will only take season 2 silver. New and useful rewards have been added to the season 2 silver vendor. Many of these are tradable and usable by all players. Some of the new rewards: Armor Patch Apply +2 AR to any piece of head slot clothing. This can only be applied once. Enhanced Armored Faction Robes Faction robes with +5 AR. Can be bought in both primary and secondary faction hues. Banner of Domination Impale the corpse of a fallen player with your banner. This item is blessed/reusable/dyable Blood Explosion Relic This is an aesthetic relic for meta talismans. It does not take up a relic slot. When you land a killing blow on a creature or player, there is a chance you will vaporize them in an explosion of blood, bones and body parts. Silver Changes Silver now has a season property. All new silver will generate as season 2 silver. If you wish to turn newer season silver to a previous season, combine it with a stack of older silver. General Honorable Combat- When a red faction member is killed by an opposing faction, his corpse will not be carvable. Faction point atrophy will now begin 72 hours after your last kill - up from 47 hours. To be safe from atrophy prior to this, you had a 33% chance to be set to safe on a kill and a 100% chance to be safe when you died. This has been changed to 100% safety on both a death and kill. This should fix issues with point atrophy.- A faction reprieve for reds will be added. It can be used once per character. Faction vendors can once again be placed wherever you'd like within a town region. Horses can be mounted in combat once more. If you have taming + fencing, a combat timer is still applied. The quicksilver relic has had its dexterity contribution and proc time reduced. The quicksilver relic went from 200 dex per level to 50 dex per level and from 2 seconds of uptime per level to 1 second of uptime per level.
