Characters with more than 0 murder counts will no longer be able to use recall or go through moongates if they are in combat (similar to factions). We are offering a server wide murder count reset to put everyone on equal footing as we move forward with this change. UPDATE 12/31: Updated message given during a blocked recall/gate from default heat of battle to a more descriptive message.
Not quite the 'Brace yourselves' change most were panicking over. Should still force some interesting tactics to emerge.
Did this already get put in? I think I may have a count or two on my bard and yesterday I saw a red coming and flagged on me. I was pretty sure I hit my recall in time to leave but it didn't go. I thought he possibly disrupted me but I hit it quick and he covered a lot of ground to get to me. After fending him off and getting some distance from him I tried to leave again and saw the message that I can't flee from combat. I thought "wtf! I got the message he was a attacking me. I don't think I hit my provo macro on him first."
for blues is a bad news... u just attack them and they cant get away anymore do it only for greys/pks
How many times will the option come up when you log in if you don't answer the gump? How long is this offer going to be available? I am already hearing about some people PKing characteristically for that specific character as if they are expecting to be able to wipe their counts later. I hope that any counts gained since the time of this clean slate option was implemented will not be wiped even if the user hasn't answered the gump yet.
So if I recall into dungeon on my red and pk someone Loot them then wait to be out of combat ..... Then I can recall out? Right ?
So all this does is give people incentive to have 0 counts while griefing. What an amazing change. Not to mention putting everyone at 0 counts so they can get started right away.
I still say a blue griefing another blues pet and killing the pet should give a murder count to the flagger. Too bad you cant make a pet red when the owner is blue. But the count for the blue pet going towards the offending tamer would be good too.
