Question concerning meta pets

Hello,
I have 115 taming and 120 lore. I have heard from few players that you can control a lvl 7 but with a low % and others tell me I cant. I have to make sure about this before buying it. I would buy it from another player, not lvl it.

When a meta is leveled past 7 it gets easier to control with a min taming requirement of 116. At that level a 115/120 tamer can control a level 7 pet with 70% success.
