Talisman Question. Back after a long lay off. How do I train Remedy.

I've tried fighting poisoning creatures. Do I have to stay poisoned long? Does it matter what I fight? Seams to be very difficult with the cool down. It seams my Leech procs and the tali is basically off until its timer has run out.
