I've played this game on and off since 2000 and I didn't know what a sync drop was until you just told me. So thank you.
I was in the beta, and neither did I. Actually he said what it was it kind of rung a bell, so I probably knew what it was at one time.

Since two years are gone i like to comment some of this templates based in my experiences:

PVM Templates

The All in one Treasure Hunter


Skill Template (Skills as Marked):
1. Fishing
2. Cartography
3. Lockpicking
4. Provocation
5. Musicianship
6. Magery
7. Meditation
Stats: 100 / 25 / 100

I tried this one a while, but dropped fishing in an early stage.
For high level T-maps you'll need a second and third char and use this template more for support.
Cartography just need to be 70% and to do some damage you'll need Evaluate Intelligence.
1. Cartography 70%
2. Lockpicking 100%
3. Provocation 120%
4. Musicanship 100%
5. Magery 100%

6. Meditation 100%/80%
7. Evaluate Intelligence 30%/50%

8. Hiding 100%

I played this template almost a year and loved it. But since doing higher treasure chests I created a dungeon unlocker with t-hunter skills. You can be creative with this skills, if you just like to solo up to level 3 tmaps (max. 51% Cartography needed).


The Dungeon Chest Crawler

Skill Template (Skills as Marked):
1. Magery (100)
2. Meditation (100)
3. Lockpicking (100)
4. Detect Hidden (100)
5. Remove Trap (100)
6. Hiding (100)
7. Stealth (100)
Stats: 100 / 25 / 100

There is no need for Detect Hidden when becoming GM Trap Specialist. Detect Hidden is just needed to start gaining remove trap and you don't need this thief skill anymore. To train this template tinkering is a good use to train with dart trapped boxes (needed around 24 hours to GM remove trap, but a lot of resources). Tinkering and Detect Hidden can be dropped after becoming GM in Remove Trap.
If you like to use a meta dexxer to help you treaser hunter, you can put 70% Cartography on this char.

I use this template very successful in combination with Meta Mage, Meta Berzerker or Meta Defenser in treasure hunting:
1. Cartography 70%
2. Lockpicking 100%
3. Remove Trap 100%
5. Magery 100%
6. Meditation 80%
7. Hiding 100%
8. Stealth 100%
9. Item ID 50%

If you raised Tinkering up to 120 using Powerscrolls, you can use this 20% for Meditation.
This template is a run and hide template in treasure hunting. Dig up the chest, run away, hide and stealth back to remove the trap and do the lockpicking job. Now your Tamer, Meta Mages or Dexxer can do the job (you need to team up with your other two accounts).


The Mage Fisherman
Skill Template (Skills as Marked):
1. Fishing
2. Magery
3. Evaluating Intelligence
4. Meditation
5. Resisting Spells
6. Anatomy
7. Healing
Stats: 100 / 25 / 100

This is a good template for effective MiB fishing and mob slaying on open sea. But i recommend to go for talisman and make it a Meta Mage. With Spirit Speak you don't run out of mana doing MiBs or using fishing nets. A Vivify Demon summoned on board will be a good help.

I did the Talisman Quest and got the Idol of Magi to complete this template. Since pirates roaming the sea very agressiv, I put GM tracking on my fisherman and use a crows nest to avoid them:
1. Fishing 120%
2. Magery 100%
3. Evaluating Intelligence 100%
4. Meditation 100%
5. Resisting Spells 100%
6. Tracking 100% (use with Crows Nest and "Scan The Horizons")
7. Spirit Speak (to get 1/3 mana back on offensive spells after going for meta Mage)

They are still a great base set of templates and I think the layout of strengths and weaknesses is great. I'm slowly porting them over to the wiki and will add some new ones or make notes on variations.

I got some more fun templates i just created out of boredom. :D

The Thief Bard
His only purpose is to annoy other player by stealing the gold of the mobs. He can get rich without slaying any monster. :)
This template is walking the dungeon playing an instrument and stealing all the gold. His only offensive weapon is a fire horn (60-90 dmg on mobs with three bard skills).

"Steal from mobs, not from player to get rich". ;)
Taking all the gold from a dungeon without killing the mobs will make other player very angry. :D

The Stealth Miner and Lockpicking Trap Specialist
His main purpose is sneaking into RDAs to mine crystals. He can team up with RDA-Tracker and a crafter to flood the market with crystal workbenches. ;)
No RDAs around? Just pick dungeon chests or mine hidden in the deepest dungeons.

He is a special resource gatherer. Looting reags and weapons from dungeon chests paired with the delivery of crystals, ingots, sand and stones is making him a breadwinner and provider.

The Meta Scribe
The meta scribe is mostly not selling any slayer spellbooks, because he is using them up by himself. He/she is a semi PvM and PvP char. In group fights he can be a nice ally.

With his shadowy and vivify relics he will target the high tier mobs. His defense abilities let him survive the most PK attacks.
In my opinion this is the most awesome template you can play since recalling with vivify demons is possible.
