The Spring Festival is coming to an end, please collect everything from your shops and vendors. This is warning one of three before we slowly remove the shops.

We hope you guys enjoyed it this year! We have taken some notes and look forward to making it even better next year.

We are excited to announce Ultima Online Forever's 1st Annual Spring Festival!
    This will run from this Friday(evening), April 27th, 2018 to Sunday(evening), May 6th, 2018.

During this festival you will be able to go to the festival location, pick a shop, then place a vendor for 1 week in that location. This location will be advertised non stop with gates to all towns during its time. There will be casino games, auctions, special appearances, events and much more through out the entire 10 days that the event will run where the focus will be on trade and having fun.

    • How this will work is there will be just over 50 shops and it will be a first come first serve.
    • You will need to have an OPEN HOUSE SPOT on one of your (3) accounts to take a vendor.
    • You will simply run into a shop and click on the sign and claim the house, then place your vendor.
    • Houses with no vendors will be removed after 12 hours.
    • Vendors with no items will be removed after 2 hours.
    • You may place as many vendors in one shop as you can fit.
    • You may let others place vendors within your shop.
    • There will be bankers available.
WHAT THE SPRING FESTIVAL HAS TO OFFER:
VENDORS, A LOT OF VENDORS WITH GOOD DEALS (HOPEFULLY).
ENTERTAINMENT AT RANDOM DONE BY ROLE PLAYERS.
CASINO GAMES BY RISING SUN CASINO.
AUCTIONS FROM THE UOFOREVER COMMUNITY AUCTION.
    FUN, GOOFY INVASIONS.
FOOD FIGHTS WITH PRIZES TO THE VICTORS.

    EVENT SCHEDULE:

HOW TO GET TO THE FESTIVAL :
There will be gates at all major banks during the entire festival.
All 10 days of events will be held in the Festival area.

    HOW TO RENT A SHOP:
To rent a shop you simply need to find a shop with an outside sign that says "This building is for sale or rent!" like the picture below:

Once you find a sign that means that shop is currently open for rent!
Simply click the sign and click "Claim House".
The rent prices are a STEEP 1,000 Gold Pieces per real life day. :)
PLEASE NOTE: You will need an open house spot to claim a shop.

DIDN'T GET A SHOP? NO PROBLEM!
Many shop owners are renting out vendors within their shop. Simply double click one of the pink deeds on the ground once you find one and if their rental price suits you, accept!

Those setting up vendors may want to bank items before coming to the festival and pull items from bank to vendor. To prevent stealing inside your vendor home.

(Please note: This is the first time we are running this event. With the scale that the event is and with the amount of groups, people, staff and special appearances we have planned we hope everything goes to schedule and all pieces fall into place. We are fully expecting some glitches/issues here and there as with any event of this size and we plan on learning from those issues and fixing it to make next years festival that much better and bigger.)

ADDITIONAL WARNING: Anyone caught trying to purposely disrupt, grief, ruin, player kill or are otherwise negative towards what we are trying to do with this event will face being firewalled, and WILL BE banished from Ultima Online Forever's community and game for the in going future.

Finally the coveted spring market bazaar!!! Player vendors will set up all throughout the bazaar in Trinsic, featuring their finest rares, and advertising their vendor malls, and/or their guilds. A community event for all to partake! Spring Festival 2019!!

sounds like the trade fairs uoforever used to do....those was always a chance to unload items or find some good bargains.

was suggested long ago, glad they finally decided to do one

The idea of an event of such scope is indeed promising! Such shall freshen up interaction among players - especially, I hope, among those who haven't still 'found themselves' in the game, those who are eager to be stricken by that sudden feeling of belonging to something one cherishes.

Questions but arise as such event gets by - some ones whose pertinence shan't be neglected.

Ours is a wide and plural community of all-style players, varying it from daily grinders to week-end journeypeople; from Britannia's veterans to Sosaria's newfound visitors. From MMO newcomers to RPG oldtimers. It is such a balanced body that keeps the spirit of gameplay alive - soulless bodies die and rot at bay.

Taking into consideration such a plurality of goals and playstyles - not to mention the Behemotic, Leviathanic guilds our Server shelters - one wonders how such a merry and peaceful event would for a wholesome tenfold days sparkle the interest mostly from oldtimers to newcomers, and vice-versa. Or: How will it be? For the sake of clarity, here follows some practical doubts:

    Spring Square
    =======> Will there be houses, shops etc, so that vendors there be put? If so, would there be any rule for as to choose and settle at a place? Were there none, my bet is that players from certain timezones would benefit unfairly more than others;
=======> Could items be secured, or locked down, at such premises? If there be nay, how would one host, say, a mild RP game or event which involves furniture or other objects?
=======> Could there be one or more open, public places such as squares, gazebos, etc? Could it be arranged that one of such be furnished with musical instruments of sorts, such as a piano and a standing harp?

    Guildsfolk
=======> Will there be any limits to the number of guildsmembers allowed to have their vendors placed? Such concern regards the fact that, while some guilds such as ours, or Squirrels etc work upon a small, bound player core, there are others such as Champ, City, Werkt, just to name a few, which recurr to massive enlisting - thus being it impossible for other smaller guilds to compete in an eventual scenario of looking for good spots for salespeople. Personally speaking, I think it would be unfair for a 300+ membered guild to be allowed to have no caps for the allowed number of vendors. The big will prey upon the small, and such shall empoverish others' enjoyment. It is no fun to go to a mall where one could only choose between a Wohhper, a Big Mac, and a Pumpkin Latte from three single brands. No gentrification in Britannia pls =p
=======> Such an event also brings to serious, compromised Guilds the unique opportunity which is to have their Emissaries positioned as to ingamewisely interview newcoming candidates. Could the Server provide a specific area either equipped with tables and chairs of sorts, or provided to have Emissaries-brought items downlocked?

    Thank ye!

THE SPRING FESTIVAL MARKET IS NOW OPEN!
We have already opened around 20 shops. All others and if needed more can be built will be open later tonight.

Additionally if you have ANY FEEDBACK please post it here. This is our first time doing this, we are expecting issues and will be needing to tweak things as the week progresses (hopefully not).

    AND REMEMBER: BRING COIN!

Shane, Fay, and the rest of the staff, thank you so much for coordinating this! I am sure this took a considerable amount of time to get all the vendor shops setup and ready for use! Everything has been perfect, but I would like to recommend you open this up each season. Giving us 4 times a year that we can do this!

Thanks for all you guys do!

when you remove the shops, are the items gone for good, or do they go back to the bank like usual when a vendor collapses?
