Long time friend scammed/stole Donation items from me (Fupa / wuwei)

There is a difference between 'scamming' and giving someone your items to 'hold onto' in the hopes of them returning said items... Up to staff on what happens I suppose

our guild have spoken to wu-wei/fupa and he have the other side of the story .......

hes considering making a forum account to share with everyone his side of the story in due course ................

I personally admit that stunoma seems like a great person ( even though we fight each other ingame ) . And i do not wish to see stunoma getting scammed in game .

hope everything will be sorted out asap !

to let someone wear your stuff and he not give them back i dont think staff can do anything since that was at your own risk, but if you was scammed durring a trade or sale or using IRC or the forums then that is against the rules.
but yeah it would sux if a friend you trusted did this

bobby there is no other side of the story, we never did wrong to him and only hooked him up. its pure greed for the pixels. look at the photo i posted. if Gm's want to do something fine...if not it is what it is and let it be known.

he asked to wear the item, he was a good friend, he admitted he wasn't keeping them. he then stole the items. His own friends are saying they don't know why he is being like this. He blocked me on skype, hasn't answered in over 20 messages. im out here speaking. Some would say he simply stole, others would say he scammed me. There is not much of a difference. its donation items.


Me and stunoma have donated plenty of money, see if he has. NEVER

ben playing with johny for around 10 years. most honest trust worthy person ive ever met in uo. shame that some one would do this to him that called him a close friend! dont trust wuwie if he scamed some one like johny hell scam any one. gms should help johny with this one for sure. dont see how this wouldnt be considered a scam. Karma is a *****

Scamming example 1: Say you will pay 1m for an item, then receive the item but do not pay 1m.

Scamming example 2 (this case): Say you will return an item, then receive the item but do not return it.

This shit is scamming. Period. There are many other examples I could include.

I think because of the rule about scamming donation items people are a bit more open with theur dono items....as opposed to dfi that said fuck you after you donation.
In other words there's perception of protection because of the rule.
Otherwise I would've said you gave him the items, it's your own fault.
But in any case dude's..you gotta be careful with your items. Ppl youve known for years could be just acting. This is still the internet.

if you order a pizza... you give them your money, and you expect them to deliver you a pizza.

if that pizza doesnt arrive, and you call the pizza place up and they ignore your calls and keep you shit, thats a scam.

not saying its a good scam, but its a scam nonetheless.

telling someone youll return their dono items and they dont is against the rules for as long as ive played here, to my knowledge.

Yeah since it wasn't originally a straight out scam this is pretty hard to decide.
For all we know the guy who originally owned the items GAVE the donation items to his friend, and they then got into a spat and he just kept them. Not really a scam in that case, but this is totally a he said she said thing.

Long ago before the scamming for donation items rule was put in place people were trying to do ANYTHING to scam people out of these items, which would in return make people instantly quit or they would do charge backs.

Things like the ethereal horse scam, and also player vendor scams were happening with dono items back then.

Since the items were given to another player, even if the deal was temporarily, then there's not much we can do really.

It's more of that he stole the items from you, not scammed.

Similar situation ages ago on this shard. friend stole everything i had, donation items included.
nothing was done.
