Since when is placing an "active" ghost against the rules? I stealther works fine too, but I didn't know that controlling a ghost broke any rules. I realize leaving a ghost running a script to call out spawns is against the rules (Arch Deamon, Akor, etc.) but if the ghost is controlled...it doesn't interfere with anything.

Petty strategies sometimes just need petty fixes. But I've been called petty before, no big deal :)

I'm not crying. I am pointing out an issue with bosses being lured off.

I was told things were fixed and they could not be lured off the champ area, so I was willing to do champs again.

I don't think we should have to chase down the boss , after we fought off all of the spawn, to spawn it.

Every one has an opinion so it seems. Mine is that champ bosses should have to stay in a more localized area.

Still, you and the group you are with has to pay attention to the altar, and possibly even keep a ghost or stealther right at the altar to watch for the champ to spawn when he/she is due. I know from personal experience, it is easy to miss the champ, especially in Destard.

Also, keep in mind it is the nefarious guild known as We Got Werkt. No other known guild still does this, as the brave fighters of EQMS have scared away POWER and $. Instead of making forum posts complaining how $ and POWER and whoever else was stealing champs, Lord Gluttony assembled a squad of elite freedom fighters that greatly reduced this from happening.

Even now, battle looms as We Got Werkt tries to leech every last gold coin they can at the expense of those they can bully. EQMS doesn't take shit from We Got Werkt, and has even come to dominate them in PvM as well as PvP...

So the simple solution is, join up. We would welcome you Ember, and from personal experience I can say EQMS is the nicest guild on the server. You even get to join for free.

So to sum up, even if the server has broken mechanics, EQMS is here to protect our members! You can enjoy the game, and win at all the RDA, champs, and IDOCS like a fucking warlock! We look forward to seeing you soon.

Yeah I KNOW that afk ghosting the arch daemon, isn't allowed. But I thought that was for afk ghosting only. If you are active and following the boss manually, I don't see a problem with that. If it IS against the rules, it hasn't been made clear, and thus I must assume it IS allowed until told otherwise.

Its no big deal either way, I used to multiclient RDAs with $ guild until we were told we couldn't do that anymore, and a direct rule was made, therefore we stopped doing it. Until a direct rule is made about using a dead character to scout, even if actively controlled, Ill have to assume its useable.

What are your thoughts on this? I don't do it often, but if it is against the rules it needs to be cleared up.

Just make it illegal

We have enough to focus on when doing champs already. Just keep the boss in champ area like everything else has to. Pks can still pk, theives can still steal, Pvmers have a better chance to keep all the work they did theirs.

You can't call Someone Who owns you at every single aspect of This game a noob, because what would that make you then?

Don't even care about a champ raid. Raid all you want. It's part of the game.

What's weird is the fact that @Shane made Barracoon rubber-band back to the altar because POWER had been luring him to the opposite end of that level of Despise. Sure, it had been going on for far too long before anything was done. He didn't like that so he fixed it.

Oaks has to rubber-band back to the champ zone because it's overworld.

Where is the rubber-band for the rest of the champs? It's inconsistent. If staff bothered to make one champ rubber-band that did not previously (deliberate change) you need to make all champs rubber-band plain and simple.

Argue with that. Go right ahead.

Until all champs have the same mechanic you're going to continue to see threads like this pop up, get bumped, etc.

I guess you're just gonna have to deal with that.

Being inconsistent is the norm around here, and has been from the beginning.

Solution, @Shane, everyone with dmg above 2000 or so in the champ spawn and in the dungeon, receives a system message that rikktor has arisen. Just think, if you were first person, a huge boss dragon coming out would make its presence known. Whether it is lured or not is up to tactics, but at least everyone knows it is out. The dmg requirement would benefit those who invested their time... Maybe 5000 dmg?

In my own opinion less sys_msg we have more fun will be.

If you put a message you no need to stay alert in the last part of champ
If you can't lure champ you no need to check what's happen in the champ area

Less info we have in game more way of fun we will have.

Luring requires a group, which exemplifies the main point of mmos... Coming together for a purpose. This is why eqms is wildly successful and rda monopoly and what not. If people don't want to come together to overcome an issue that is caused by people coming together, then you are shooting the point of community in the foot and crying that things are unfair because lone wolf wants to be lone.

Discord should be utilized. Create a discord channe for doing champs and coordinate. Guys should think out of the box, this isn't forming anti pvp guilds, it is fundamental coordination on herding a boss mob. Arch demon already has a channel for coordination including people from all groups. Guys stop whining and come together for a solution in a sand box game. Make your own castle, talk to each other

Sincerly I think the staff needs to think about feature of the server not based on wich guild rule rda or champ.

In this particular moment of UOF there is a 1500+char guild that obviously rule some end game feature because of the number, but change mechanic of the game because of that guild is not good, tomorrow eqms go to play Lord of the rings online and we will have a dumb champ system with alert when boss spawn and can't be lures.

That it mean no funny except for the people who can finally drop a 105 fishing.

Champ system, imo, is beatiful with lure, raid, thief, ecc.

EQMS is another problem and must be solved separated from server feature (champ arch boss ecc).

For example if more than 2 guild member cast EBolt in N tiles the damage must be reduced.

But it's a different problem, other guild want to raid and lure and they need the possibility to do it, because it's part of an old style uo server.

When it comes to problem solving and finding a solution, make sure you are putting enough effort into resolving the problem before you put it on the big wigs. Nothing like deficiencies between efforts, your little effort into whining to stimulate huge efforts by devs to fix a problem that could be solved by a community.

Wait a moment my english is so bad so maybe you have misunderstood.

I don't cry because EQMS have 1500+ members, I simply say that modify Champ Mechanics BECOUSE of a guild isn't the right way (it's only my opinion, maybe i'm wrong..)

Champ is a feature, and need to have: thief, raid, lure, ecc.

IF Staff & Community start to think that 10 Zerg VS 1 maybe is a "problem" and lower the fun of the server so I think is not a crime try some solution (an item that protect from zerg, a server-side script that nerf ebolt if casted by 10 people in 3 tiles) but needs to be a solution about THAT problem.

Not let zerg like is now and change all other feature (for example no kill zone in boss champ rda so no one can raid you) because of eqms.

Every problem have a solution, but that solution is not to "Trammelyze" all feature because of a guild istantkill everyone 50 vs 5

And I'm not crying, If staff won't solve the zerg problem I still play here and have fun but for sure less than 6 month ago :D
