Launcher crashes on pressing "Install Ultima Online"

Hi everyone,

Having a bit of a problem installing UO Forever!

I load up the launcher all well and good, I can click on everything just fine, until I click on "Install Ultima Online". Then it just crashes with that popup that says "UOForever launcher has stopped working..." etc.

My firewall is allowing the launcher and razor, and it seems I've updated framework, etc. so I don't know what to do! Desperate to play as two friends have just joined!

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

I tried coming back to UO:F today after a couple year break and ran into this exact issue. The launcher simply crashes when I hit install.

What's the deal here. I've tried running it in compatibility mode, as an administrator, everything I can generally think of.

Im having the exact issue today... trying to install on my laptop... is there a old link to the client only download somewhere... i feel the problem is in the launcher?.. thanks

I too ran into this issue last night. I had edited my Art Files and accidentally made it to where I could not see the plants I was growing after they hit stage 7. I went to download a fresh copy from the launcher and was met with the same error as the others. I was able to resolve MY issue by grabbing an OSI client and grabbing the Art Files I needed.

Has anyone tried downloading the OSI Standard Client, running it to get it up to date (closing it), then running the launcher to see if you can just download the missing UO:F specific Art Files?

I don't think you want to get the official client and patch it to what they currently have. The reason being that they no longer use trade windows so you won't be able to make any trades.

Do you have someone you trust that can copy their client to a cloud drive like Dropbox to share with you?

I can trade just fine after having downloaded the classic client from the UO site.

the only way i can get in is by using the relpor launcher but there is some missing assets and things like that, but yeah the uof launcher just crashes when trying to install the game.

Same issue here, launcher crashes when clicking on install ultima online.

I deleted all other UO clients i had and it didnt fix it.

Back to UO:R i guess :(

We are fixing this right now, this started happening on Friday it looks like.
