The small blind doesnt HAVE to meet the big blind they have option to check instead of call. If they decide to "call" its not a call they BET the minimum blind over the small blind. I.e. blinds are 500 and 1000 im small blind i bet 1000 for total of 1500 instead of meet bb for straight 1000. Hence the pot is minimum of 3000 if the dealer which should always be sb decides to call instead of 2000. With this the way it is it gives bb position preflop everytime, which is bacwards(unless sb/dealer checks everytime). Not a big deal at little table but at highroller table it can be huge impact
