I'm a thirty-year-old complete noob to UO. I'm not new to gaming or MMOs in general, but after reading about how much freedom UO gives (and stumbling upon Belan the Noble Looter's stuff via Cracked.com), I decided to give it a try.
My general interests IRL are history (my primary field of study is ancient late bronze/early iron age empires) and music (I play piano and sing a bit, neither on professional level, but I know enough to compose a bit and I have made several arrangements of game and movie music using a notation program called Finale). I also enjoy old movies (Casablanca is the single greatest movie ever made, and anyone who says otherwise is a filthy heretic), classic rock (Queen is the single greatest band of all time, and anyone who says otherwise is also a filthy heretic), Heavy Metal (Maiden forever), classical music (Tchaikovsky was the best composer ever, filthy heretic if you say otherwise, etc.)
