Whats the smallest size house in which you cant be house killed? Need to be 18x18? Thanks in advance

No, you can avoid it in literally any house. Just stand on the center tile and you're out of range

As long as you stand in the exact center tile of your house you should be okay. This is assuming you have all doors closed and locked, no windows, and full height walls all the way around. Also make sure if it is a custom house that you have the corner piece in the NW corner of your design. Without this, spells can be cast through the opening.
