I have to be honest I am not sure if they are for anything other than just being in the "general rare" category. They drop from Ancient Wyrm, Shadow Wyrm, Dragons and Drakes. They are not really all that rare though, if you are killing Dragons you will probably get 2 or 3 an hour. I have bags with at least a hundred of them in my house so I don't think they are worth anything. Maybe 3k-5k gold if someone is buying them up, but I am leaning more to worthless.

They're used to make the soulforge and are the most common ingredient, I see em for 500 gold on vendors and they don't sell, most people who want a soulforge already have one
