Do you like the idea of player run events? If they are performed safely and orderly? I know the gms are busy working on the new expansion and updates all the time so they don't always have time during the week to run events. I have been missing player run events such as casinos, auction houses, chicken fight clubs :lol: and so on. OSI had a ton of them. That's part of what kept everything interesting.

There are a bunch of player run events, the most recent big one being a halloween contest. The GMs often help out player run events by creating free moongates to them and even giving certain guilds their own property in cities (TBH has a guildhall in East Britain, Trinsic Guard have a guildhall in East Trinsic; not sure if anyone else has city property). As for smaller events, there was someone organising a chicken fight last week but I was unable to attend due to hours so I don't know how that turned out.
