Sounds Pay to Win. Even if you can buy dono with gold, I think if this is the route they end up taking, it should be on gold sink.

I know tamers will hate me for disagreeing somewhat but a single necklace seems to light. I am not agenst the idea however. I can see 2 possible variations to this that would bring it a little more in line for what it gives a tamer in return:

1) a Slayer type armor. Well not Slayer property but actually a tamer armor set. Each peace offers 1 armor and drops Stam by 5. Each peace adds a 33% reduction to stat loss to pet. Full set offers 100% reduction. Armor can not be enhanced with crystal work bench, is blessed. Gold sink vendor item (tamers have a ton of gold if you are selling power scrolls for 15 mill)

2)meta pet relic. Fits astetic slot. Feed pet gold to raise relic. 100% reduction at lvl 10. This relic has a decay for ongoing gold sink.

I liked the pet rez cookie idea a lot more than all the other ideas popping up, add in a new power scrolls 105-120 vet, make a new cookable, the no skill loss cookie, make it require 100 cooking and 120 vet to craft, think the 120 vet will affect pvp somehow? oh well make it only for making the cookies.

I guess I didn't understand why you asked the question about building a template, when pet statloss has nothing to do with your ability to rez your own pet?

Har! Sorry bud. I was mixing the two threads of having a npc pet healer and this one together. My bad...

i have a tamer that i have never put in factions. When it comes to skill loss I never really found much of a difference in performance. I think people are over-exaggerating the effect of their pet's skill loss.

The one thing I think wouls be good to add is a skill rollover for metas when a tamer isnt 120. So the skills reset every time they get to their current level max but cant evolve. Maybe even make it so the owner can choose to keep the xp or lose it to reset the skills when this happens. Another alternative is that it resets the skills and XP but the XP required to get to the next level goes down 50% after the first time it rolls over like it does for max level metas.

I chuckle, inside, every time I see a request for a tamer buff.
I, truly, do.
I chuckle inside everytime I see a pet statloss thread by Lexington -- which is all the time....

On topic - It's pretty clear the staff think pet statloss is a needed thing for balance. Why fight it? Honestly I agree with them because it is stupid easy to train pets here, metas can be refreshed with experience, and there needs to be a risk for the reward of using pets. Let the flaming ensue.

Your obsession with me might be a tad bit on the unhealthy side.... just saying!

I know it's a stretch for you but... If you could think outside the box even a little. Think of the $ this would create for the server. A donation item like this would be a top seller!

No obession - Its just if I see a pet statloss thread -- it's usually you who created it.

I think there is a point to where the money does not outweigh the negative impact it causes on the server -- clearly staff sees this as they usually don't throw out items like you are suggesting just to make more cash - and that sort of thing is probably one of the reasons this server is still around. Maybe I am just not creative enough to see how this is not a negative impact on a server for the selfish reason for tamer's to not have to spend time to retrain their pet's skills?
