Cooking and Taste Identification

OK.
We are all well aware these are, pretty much, useless as they stand.
Granted tribal paint is cool, but, as one of the VERY few 'perks' of cooking skill.......few waste the time. Rightfully so.,

Lets spice it up a bit. Pun, loosely, intended. Hopefully I don't travel any roads already taken, but, here we go....
I encourage group participation, too.....

COOKING ideas:
1. More cook-able items.
1A. Monster bait, perhaps? Cook up a stinky pile of slop (pig roast, raw fish, etc) and it can be used to 'lure' monsters to it. Could be fun to add a little harmless strategy to the mix.
1B. Along the lines of tribal paint, other dyes can be made. (Horse war paint, perhaps?) (Spider war paint perhaps.) This would be good, too, to make it hard for the chef to make. Hard to get ingredients. Hard to successfully cook, etc....Meta ancient wyrm with war paint? Ch'Yeah!
1C. Cook able special baits for the fishermen out there. MiBs are cool. Pirates make it better.......how about various sea-baits to lure the nasties from the depths? The sea aspect of the game is overall positive and this would be a harmless way to add a little flavor. Maybe 400 raw fish steaks to make a 'special' kraken or something.....
(Taste ID increases effectiveness of ALL cooked items, sans paints. You die, you go back to normal skin)
2. Special ingredients that only spawn in certain places, or at certain times. Ideas: special nightshade that only appears at night. Or during rains. Tribal berries a good idea....expand on that.....maybe be able to get all guild hues and make dyes specifically for said guilds/warring factions/or whatever the system is this week....)

TASTE IDENTIFICATION ideas:

ummm.....
as a solo skill, aside from incorporating poisoning, Im clueless.
mixed with cooking...........
-enhance said "baits" that are cookable? Draws stronger mobs from farther away? Lures MORE mobs?
-enhance duration of needing to eat again to be full? (small %hit chance/%successful cast bump?)
-is able to eat zoogi fungus with taste id. and use them in recipes? (cooking) Eating zoogi could, perhaps, temporarily bump skill level sort of like +5 mining gloves......but temporary. And bumps successful cooking attempts.
-maybe a good way to introduce new pots? Mana pots, perhaps? (i keed, i keed) Pet heal pots? Or "paint" pots that you throw at a target and they appear a certain color to all allied/partied members.......'marking' them......Need 100 cooking and 100 Taste ID to even attempt to craft?

all harmless additions that wont alter the coveted 'balance.'

any other ideas?
like these?
hate these?

Lets make it so that using a fishingnet alongside with the lure will give you a % chance to spawn the special kraken, that of course will have a % chance of dropping special loot. :)

i knew there was going to be a sarcastic asshat whom took the "IDEAS" literally.
I know there are nets. And I know what they do.
My recommendations aren't literal. They are designed to create ideas. (IE: not LITERALLY another kraken.....it was an idea thrown out there to use for an example. Get it? Smartass) But one needs more intellect and less sarcasm to be able to comprehend this.
Wait for alck if you want posts that are witty. You aint cuttin it

I'd like to see Cooking be turned into something similar to what is on Zelda Breath of the Wild. Thoughts?
