Certain in game objects appear as 'unused' in game?

Certain objects such as cannons on ships just appaers as black blobs with the words 'unused' on them. I downloaded UOF about two years ago and have never changed anything. Do I need to update somehow? If so will just downloaded the new client from this website work?

Yeah you need to update using their launcher which as options to update the art.mul files and tiledata, etc. etc.

when I first started here, I was still using uo client with some old modified art files from my ipy2 days. when I did a trade for a meta egg, I couldn't see it. realized it was my art files.

Hey, everybody,

The "unused" tiles are haunting me. Today I updated the client by downloading and installing he newest version from http://web.cdn.eamythic.com/us/uo/installers/20120309/UOClassicSetup_7_0_24_0.exe

Then I ran the Forever Launcher, but still see the unused tiles.

What am I doing wrong?

within the launcher, go to settings and select updates and make sure you set to true, then go back into update manager and run it or install the available updates
