I for one could do with less...

Pop-ups and messages informing me about CTF, or casinos, or whatever.

I understand and appreciate the reasoning behind the notifications, but I really don't need to be notified 3 times within 2 minutes about a CTF that's starting. Especially the one that pops up in the middle of the screen, which can be problematic during PVP.

I feel like I'm not alone here.

An option to disable them, or disable certain "types" of them would be nice.

I also agree, especially since the messages stay on screen until you manually close them, there is no need to spam the same message

Its nice to be aware of events ect but yea sometime there are a bit intrusive (esp the ones in the center of the screen.) and they always tend to show up at the best times.

Really... you complaining about the pop-ups...? If you die because of a pop-up, you kinda deserve to die... just stating a fact.

no one said dying just its annoying..... and could be better placed.

edit: or maybe let people choose if they want the big ctf popup or not

fair enough.. you didnt say die. I guess I just liked the idea of someone dying due to a pop-up :)

Not that it isn't possible, because when that bastard pops up in the middle of the screen you pretty much have to stop whatever your doing and click cancel.

It's just one right click to get rid of the gump, can't possibly be that bad. If they announce these events with any other method, a lot of people miss the notification.

It's not "just one right click" when it pops up in the middle of the screen and you have to click cancel not just right click away, then it pops up in the top left of the screen...both of which stay there until you do away with them.

I'm just saying that the one in the top left that doesn't obscure the main part of the screen is enough...if you miss it then really aren't paying much attention and are probably AFK macroing anyway.

Which is why I suggested an opt out of notifications option.

Its a small annoyance to right click off the messages, but an annoyance none the less when it's everyday, and I (personally) never want to join ques.

Maybe a small color coded square/circle whatever at bottom left of screen that you can click to find out what is being advertised instead of a full blown message would be nice.

I always like options especially if its just personal options that don't effect other people. if theres an option to set up how these system gumps display, how can one protest? however, sometimes one has to look at first if the work to fix it is worth it.on that, im not sure. I just right click the things and be done with it..so it doesn't bother me and never has been a problem.

Go through your [battles options for CTF next time it's up. You can unsubscribe to it thus not getting the notifier anymore. Been this way for a while.

The CTF gump can be right clicked off your screen. These gumps serve a purpose. The reason the gump pops up on everyones screen is so we can have large turn outs to events. The reason the notify gump sicks to the top of your screen is so that people can see the messages we feel are important for them to know. I'll add an option to disable this as it is clearly a game breaking change for you but I just want you to know that we feel they serve a purpose and that is why they are the way they are.
