If you had to start from scratch...

How would you do it?

Especially if your end goal is to have a small house, get a character or two to 7x, and live comfortably enough to pvp with sufficient regs/pots.

I understand you can have 3 accounts run simultaneously, so how would you take advantage of that?

first create a new forum identity as a female. then create a cute role-playing named character. receive new house and items from internet weirdos. winning formula :)

I would get a couple of pouches with some bottles, head over to a nice secluded spot and train stealing until GM. When complete, start on hiding then move over to stealth when those skills are finished. From there, would go steal some gold off a few monsters, get around 10k and begin training magery. Get to around 60 magery, head over to some ogre lords and cast blade spirits, stealing gold from them until they die. Do this until around 100k, then buy regs to GM magery. When complete, set up the rest of my skills, wait for the week to pass, then go rob everyone blind until I can set up a house.

The rest as they say, is history.

First Acc/Character : Bard/Provo Archer.

Very fast way to farm gold within a few days, start with swords and when you have enough gold switch to archery.

Second Acc/Character : Heal Mage

Take advantage of young status once you have enough gold to buy regs, getting your Magery/Resisting Spells/Med/Eval done while in young status so no fear of losing hard earned regs while you macro in a dungeon.

Templates;

Bard/Provo Archer
100 Musicianship
100 Provocation
100 Anatomy
100 Healing
100 Archery
100 Tactics
100 Hiding/OR Resisting Spells

Heal Mage
100 Magery
100 Resisting Spells
100 Evaluating Int.
100 Meditation
100 Anatomy
100 Healing
100 Wrestling

Good luck man, you should be making money in no time flat and with second character as Mage you can gate and res yourself as needed.

Thanks for everyone's contributions. Lithium149, I appreciate the detailed response! One more question - when logging in, one screen says I have 6 hours of noob status. The other says 90. Which is correct? I haven't put more than 5 minutes into the game yet, I'll be logging in later today.

I think I would structure my characters on my accounts a lot better when it comes to invasions, having your 1st character show up on scoreboards, really thinking about what account my tamer is on versus meta dexxer/mage, versus factioners versus reds versus crafter versus t-mapper, etc.

I wish I sat down and thought about all of the above before creating accounts/characters.

Your very welcome man, been helping my RL cousin start playing and been teaching him the ropes as well.

You have 60 hours I believe as YOUNG status, and if you go above and beyond 600 Skill Points(Always use Show Real bottom right corner.) you will lose young status. Please correct me if I am wrong here folks.

For example, in my Cousins situation he is still brand new to the game but he's got a few skills gmed to the point I have made him lock his other uncompleted skills so he can farm and learn under young status as long as possible so he can build up at least a small fortune before he gets griefed while trying to farm/learn the game.

I started off with a mace dexxer farming gold in the newbie dungeon so I could then train my magery up high enough to cast a moongate, then bought a runebook for the towns and did escorts until I had enough cash to start off other characters.

I started back when it was the 2 accounts per IP rule. I wouldn't change much...

Account 1: Some main with magery. Make it a fisherman and/or bard, your scribe, heal/stun mage, whatever.

Run escorts for a little while (10-20 escorts) til you have the 10k you'll need to GM magery and probably resist.

Account 2: Work a dexer or another character with magery.

Once you are able to mark runes and gate on this server, you're golden.

Ridiculously cheap, easy and versatile template that will earn you tons of cash and, in general, is a strong PvM template:
100 Magery
100 Meditation
100 Evaluating Intelligence
100 Musicianship
100 Provocation
100 Hiding
100 Fishing

I'm looking for a fake girl to give gold to for flirting. But if you are a dude you better have Boobs at least.

Provo/peace dexxer and take full advantage of young status. Start with 50 provo and music, go to despise. Provo earth eles or ettins, smack em with weapon of choice. Work your way up to higher mobs...centaurs, OL's etc. Easy peasy
