Launcher Crash. Missing File

I am returning to UOF after 3 years and I am attempting to play on a windows 10 install in Virtualbox. I run the UOForever.exe file and after about 30 seconds it closes. I never get the launcher display. The windows event log gives me the following error:

@Wyntr That link didn't solve the problem, but it got me on the right path. The information in your link is out dated, but super helpful.
I needed to download the latest Visual C++ redistributable (Here's the link): https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

Additionally, even though I am on a x64 architecture, I had to install the x86 version.
To others reading this, there is a reason that UOForever installs into the Program Files(x86) Folder.

I hope this helps others that have the same issue.

Awesome I am glad you got it figured out. I have also ran into situations where the x86 and not the 64 bit versions solve the problem.
