New to the game. I started a crafting char.

I have been going through the uo stratics and different sites but there have been so many ages and so many different shards and rule sets it seems difficult to figure what applies here.

Can some please tell me what skills can be made legendary and if there is really any benefit?

It seems like it ups the chance of exep but there doesn't appear to be any items that can only be made by 100+ skills.

Anyway if someone could link me the info or explain it here it would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure about currently, but they are adding a new system which uses 120 blacksmithing and 120 tinkering. Check out the expansion post for more details.

I ate a 115 tailoring scroll back when there was a lack of them and they were selling as high as 750k. Ate a 120 shortly after and probably farmed about 200 bods over a couple months after and got nothing but utter shite. I would have been MUCH better off staying at 110 and selling the 115/120 scrolls for the gold and not ever doing another bod again.

I would love to see the stats on these "better bods" you're supposed to get at 120. Not worth it in my experience.

Are you sure about that? I also got a tier 5 CBD with my 71.0 tailor but... I do get lower end BODs ALL the time with my 70.0 tailor. I am pretty sure skill matters. I also do get better smith BODs since I raised it to 115.

With my lower lvl tailor, I get almost exclusively 10x 15x and 20x normal BODs. Don't think I ever got an exceptionnal BOD. With my 71.0 tailor I mostly get 10x 15x and 20x exceptionnal BODs. One point that seems to matter a lot.

With my legendary tailor, I can get anything, really.

As for blacksmithy, at 100, I got nothing higher than shadow, and mostly iron. Now that I am at 115, I get a lot of bronze/copper BODs.

I have been 120 Tailoring and 120 Blacksmith for over a month now. If anything, the BODs have gotten worse since attaining legendary status. That could just be because my hopes are in general now higher... every time I try to sell 50+ fricking sets of tongs and tailoring kits just to then get my iron weapon bod and 20x small cloth bod.

Yeah I agree. I have 120 tailoring and I am just getting the same common bods over again 20 x leather or cloth and the damn 5 piece LBOD. So I decided to make two more tailors ones at 85 and other is at 91 and I still get crappy BODS and worst some of the SAME crappy BODS I got before.

The system is pretty stupid, I don't even see the point tell you the truth. If I have to buy the bods I need from someone else then make it using leather I farmed or bought all in all they eat up my profits and really all i want are the damn runic kits which are also kind of weak since they only have 30 charges.

This crap is like playing the mega lotto. Crafting just seems so pointless in this server.

Based on what? Because I have 3 tailors at different level for some time and they clearly get different BODs.

Which is a bad model. It's crafting, I can understand if this was monster hunting and getting rare drops is based on luck. But it shouldn't be that way with crafting. In fact for the most part on this server crafting is useless. Magical weapons and armor are a lot better and they drop like candy, everyone has them. Crafting in order to get gear even on the same level you need to get the right BODS to get the tool that allows you to do so and well GL getting that.

This is why everyone is a Tamer or Fisher on this server beacuase they're the only reliable and real way to make money very efficiently.

Not to mention this is also why for damn near every player vendor is always lacking stock because really there's no money in this stuff.

In what way? Crafting Barb sets? Or trying to get BODS for rares? Honestly, as you know there is no money at all in crafting not when you compare it to taming/fishing. Profit margins are just too low (if any at all) and the demand for items are also too low since from what I hear, most of the stuff is broken anyway, like AR. Plus there are only a few weapons/armor that are used I mean when was the last time you seen someone use studded, plate, a war axe and etc?

Selling stuff isn't a good way to make money, you are right, but BODs provide extremely decent money. Getting 5 fallon and selling 300k isn't worth the trouble? Even charcoal is extremely lucrative.
