No, not need 120 Lumber ... you just need the colored wood. at 105 lumber you get the colored woods, higher lumber = higher colored.

How do you craft slayer bows? Is there bods from the fletcher or something? Also, do the colored logs add more damage or do they just look cooler?

You have a small chance of creating a slayer bow while in the Brit crafter's area. I think the higher the wood the higher the chance. You can also craft Vanquishing bows. I am not sure if the different colors act like ingots where Frost can be vanq, Blood up to Power, Heart up to Force, etc. I think someone said all the colors have a chance to make vanqs. They may have scaled chances of happening but I don't know for certain about that either.
