It would increase the demand for eggs, and it would increase the demand for less desirable, cheaper colors you could buy knowing when you have more gold, or when eggs become cheaper, you can buy another one to simply change the hue.

why would anyone eat an egg just to change a hue when the overall meta pet + hue is worth more? youd be wasting money. and unless ppl like wasting money, then it shouldnt change the market at all

It would be stupid to do it now. When eggs become more common, they will be worth less. Say they sell for 500k - 1.5mil. Say your actual pet is level 5 or 6. You might not want to start over, and there might not be buyers willing to pay the price you deem right for the time invested. So you would buy a new egg and feed it.

i mean... maybe if ppl got bored with their current hue, but i assume ppl are buying the best/favorite hue right away and wont really downgrade to cheaper hues
