We're getting resistance from a red who doesn't like the idea of lowering his 48 penalty time while he gets to continue to PvP.
So.... uhhh.... yea..
If you don't like to fight, why are you a red? If you don't like the idea of lowering your penalty for doing what you like, why are you doing it...
Hell just make hirelings the way the used to be in OSI; they would stand guard for hours as long as the gold you paid them covered the time with none of that '<hireling> doesn't see their master'.
I'm their employer and a merc doesn't care if I'm around or not as long as I'm paying them. The...
Sounds like a fun idea in a different way....
What if they were sent to 'Hell' in the way you described, but instead of a out of control CTF game it's a more like a lava island 'Lord of the Flies' style; where you have to hunt other players in Hell and killing them reduces their time banished...
It's well known that many people use ghosts to spy on dungeons, and other centers of player activity in what could be argued is breaking the rules of PvP 'using more than one character in a PvP fight (in this instance using one to scout/gather information [such as player build, skill level...
Things you can, and should, do to protect yourself from a thief.
#1: never keep priceless items in your backpack; keep them in pouches, crates, or chests if they must be on your character regardless of length of time.
#2: If you keep items in your pouches/crates use 'Magic Trap' to make it so...
Your skills get a passive bonus based on your stats.
I don't know all of it off the top of my head, but knowledge based skills like Anatomy and Evaluate Intellegence get a bonus from INT. Most combat skills (fencing, swords, maces), and lots of taming skills get a bonus based on STR. And...
The recall block is a good thing, believe it or not.
Back when I used to play on a different shard ( Hyb- something ;) ) people would explo-recall people in the middle of town; usually in groups of 3~4 players to ensure a death. It's my opinion this mechanic was one of the factors that killed...
The draw-back of not GM'ing healing is you can fail a bandie without getting hit; not often but it will happen. You will also fail a bandie after fewer 'your fingers slip' msg's but honestly it won't be that big a deal.
For magic resist you can get away with 75 (high-ballin' it) or 50 (if the...
Just take precautions around WBB; most thieves don't have the balls to dungeon raid/steal (blessings on those that do). =D
Still, you can make a thieves life harder by taking a few basic steps:
Don't leave any vital supplies in a container that is not trapped. Trapped pouches make it so a...
How long -does- peace last at GM? 1~??? sec
Depending also on the CD you could get away with some stupid funny things.
*goes around peacing every mob in dungeon and stealing their items*
Peace can be useful against dexxers in PvP. Wait for the moment they are about to connect with a melee...
UO Stats:
STR - raises HP - let's you take more hits
INT - raises MP - let's you cast more spells
DEX - raises STAM - fucking useless because running does not drain it. literally a silent buff to characters that don't use a weapon.
Make DEX great again.
You're right, "Stealth" has no cooldown; you can auto-stealth off into infinity as long as your stealth doesn't break.
However in order -to- stealth you need to be hidden (a 10 sec cooldown) or invis (cast time) but if you are 'hidden' via the spell you are still on a timer of the invis spell...
According the the rules (or so I'm told) being annoying isn't against the rules, and it's up the staff to determine if it's ban worthy.
Clearly, my signature is more of a threat.
My signature does not reflect negatively on the shard, only the people in it. If the people in it are a problem that is an issue the staff should look at.
