As far as I know, T2A isn't in because of how much more spread out the population would be if that landmass was opened up.
While I do love it there, I do agree that it would do nothing to help player interaction or PvP.
I'm not sure you'll find a definitive answer outside of Shane or Adam saying so. Run UO code is all over the place.
You could always just test it yourself. Eval is easy enough to skill-up if you end up needing it. Sorry I couldn't be more help!
Place a small house. By the time you outgrow the storage with magical weapons, armour, reagents, ingots ect. ect, you should have plenty of gold to buy a bigger place.
18x18's are pretty cheap and you can easily farm enough to buy one in a week of casual playing. If you want preferred housing...
I'm not sure if its the reds I'm killing, or pride, or whatever else, but I have only ever had one head bought back from me at 25k.
Normally I don't even get a response, and if I do it is along the lines of "lol fuk u noob" with a 1gp counter offer with the hopes of me clicking the wrong...
If any of the random crap in this thread (for explosion potions) is implemented half the PvP population would be gone overnight.
This is what PvP has evolved into. If people feel the need to script to compete, good for them. Those of us who don't, generally end up winning anyway. All it does...
Quite frankly I don't really have a problem with "shitty" PvP'ers using automated programs to compete. It brings more life to a stagnant, 17 year old game. The more people being able to PvP, the better. And as most of the PvP'ers in this thread have said, manual timings will always be better...
Power hammers consistently hit me from 20-40 damage. I tend to hit people for 25-50 with a power hammer wearing barbed leather. You're saying these damages aren't high enough for you?
Come on now. Lets get serious. This is the most balanced PvP we've had on this shard in terms of mage vs dex...
I used vanqs as my example in all those damages. If you're unable to equip yourself with high-end gear, why do you feel like you should be able to compete with people who do? Makes zero sense that someone with a GM-Force weapon should be doing significant damage to someone rolling an invul set...
I generally run around in full invul leather (45+ar) on my mage and while I'm no longer being hit for 65 damage from war hammers, or 40 damage from spears, a crushing blow from a vanq hammer still does around 40-50 damage.
On my lj'er I usually hit anywhere from 15-40 damage (against barbed, I...
http://uo2.stratics.com/dungeon-guides/castle-blackthorn-dungeon
Just reading stratics for the first time in forever and came across this. I was just thinking that it could maybe be tied into the death of Lord Blackthorn to get another story line going for the shard instead of just mindless...
I was on when they tested the ranger armour. They gave me a full set and hit me until all pieces were confirmed unbreakable. I'm not sure if they just overlooked the phoenix armour or they never changed it purposely?
Not sure if anyone else had this problem, but I was out of pots, mainly explosion, pretty quick during the latest CTF.
Is this a change that was meant to happen? Do we need to start bringing in our own? Do they refresh when you die (Kind of pointless to go die on purpose)?
Still did alright...
I agree with what others are saying here. Keep it. You'll probably be back at some point. My friend and I let 4 of our houses drop in a clearing by the Orc fort because we didn't think we'd be playing again. Lo and behold, we came back and sure do miss having everything set up for us still.
