It's pretty clear you don't do shit but ganking on this server so obviously you only look at things from your part of the fence...like the "pvp manager" blair aka jamiez

But i play both as a red and blue and do champs, rda, i raid champs, i raid rdas, i grief, i do everything in this game.

So i can tell you for sure that this is a REALLY bad idea that'd piss off most of the shard

Also what the fuck are you high on talking about all this blue pking going on?? LOL

I get attacked by a blue once for every 20 (and i'm being conservative with this number, it's more like 50) times i get attacked (read: ganked) by reds. You're such an hypocrite you try to make this suggestion pass as an help for blues doing pvm lol

Suggestion: factioners are already only healable/rezzable by other factioners. Make it so that BLUE factioners cannot be attacked by BLUE non factioners. If this is even a problem, which it actually isn't but whatever, we all know EQMS would say everything to get YET another change that favors their ganking playstyle.

btw, i know it's a stupid suggestion, but it isn't more stupid than the suggestion our "pvp manager" (or Glut) came up with, so whatever

Im just trying to improve PVP here -- this was a rule on uoforever and it made it so not everyone was going to take counts knowing thered be no consequence for blue PKing.

I see your arguments @lollo but blue PKing is a problem for new players(see the newbs who quit because they get killed out of nowhere by a blue). The notoriety system is good but it falls short in terms of ping ponging with murders.

I dont think factioners need any extra protection -- people who join factions are looking for PVP and thus should be able to handle whatever comes their way.

Believe me Glut, there are FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FUCKING FAR more people that quit because they get ganked by reds every 15 minutes than people who quite because they get killed by a blue once every week.

I do farm a lot with my tamer and my bard and as I already said, getting attacked by a blue is really rare. Sure it does happen, but it's nowhere close to the number of times i get attacked by reds.

And at least 95% of the times a blue attacks you he's alone. Red always roll in groups of 2-5 which pisses off new players far more.

How many thread have i seen in the last year from people bitching about red ganks and how many have i read from people quitting because they were attacked by a blue?


Come on Glut, be serious for once and admit you don't give 2 shits about young players getting killed by blues and you just want your guild to be able to PK with basically ZERO fail rate (because there is no way you're getting away from a 5 men gank without being able to recall)

The blues that do the "blue pking" get reputations for it.

If you see someone who acts shady or has done shitty things while on a blue before, get ready to defend yourself, or move to a different spot, call in, ect.

You might get fucked with once or twice. This is uo. This is a component for why we come back to this game after so long. If you can't smarten up after a few dirt bag demonstrations, then you deserve to get pissed with.

Don't put chains on everyone.

We rarely goto dungeons and PK -- we do it when theres no PVP on. When we do, if our victim is in a guild that isnt known for shit talking, we res them and gate them out.

This isnt about running through shame 1 and seeing tamer and him recalling and us being pissed. Its about adding accountability to blue PKing and trying to get this shards PVP on par with what PVPers expect. The fact a PK can recall when flagged is ******** -- if you dont like the idea of not being able to recall when flagged with counts, dont kill blues.

You fucking said this yourself. I agree 100% that a PK (read: red) shouldn't be able to recall when flagged. This is what pvpers expect and what everyone expects.

What everyone DOESN'T want is this rule applying to blues with less than 5 counts.

Also, I see EQMS pks all the time, probably because with my timezone there is not much faction action going on so the few EQMS members around roam dungeons looking for easy kills.

I don't even know why I am having a discussion with you honestly, seeing as how you don't seem to understand that maybe 2% of the shard agrees with you

Remember, if this change happens and you want to be able to freely recall when flagged -- DONT KILL BLUES.

But.. By making a red unable to recall when they are flagged on takes away/hurts solo pking. It's the least frowned upon when being pitted against zergs.

Why are we balancing the game for solo play? UO isnt not a game that is supposed to be easy as a solo player -- in fact its supposed to be crushingly difficult which is why those who do solo gets lots of respect.

Anyway -- lets not derail this thread on a smaller issue.

The biggest problem with PVP now is that the fact that non stop running is the most viable tactic in PVP.... faction fights shouldnt be a chase from brit no cut all the way to yew moongate.

The sooner faction bolas are in, the sooner faction PVP becomes "healthy and fun".

Its sort of amazing how you can make yourself out to be so righteous all the time. I'm not even mad. Its pretty amazing.

If someone makes a thread about something you and your boys are doing, and how they don't agree with it, you throw up some hashtag or half witty remark ie: #allweknowiswar and we are expected to eat it up and let the topic be.

Being able to escape whether you're red or blue is half the fun. Just like half the fun of solo pking is when your prey fights back and it turns into a fight amidst spawn.

When I'm out farming I personally like getting the bejeesus startled out of me when I see that red loner on top of his loot beetle. It makes me have to react. Make the decision quick if I'm in a good place to fight him off or if I should try to gtfo.

I'd rather things stay the way they are. If anything is changed, then gates out for anyone should be disabled too. It has nothing to do with being organized like you stated before. Anybody and their mom can have alts gate them out, or if there is ONE fucking person in your guild online they can usually send you something in time.

You can't call a couple PvP rune books and a mass of guildies able to cast gate, organized.

Do you think the "blue pk" is a noob, where its his first day on UOF? Do you think he doesn't have any friends? I guarantee that he's got a gate ready to get the hell out if need be.

If you wanna trap us all in together, then trap us and throw the fucking key out. No recall, no gates. That will put some hair on everyone's balls.

Its much less feasible to get a gate out then hit your recall hotkey -- just adding slight accountability to blue PKs.

But is it? Did we not just establish how "prepared" you can be with a gate?

The moment the flagging for "accountability" happens, is the moment everyone starts to get even better at gating their buddies out or setting up goddamn macros on their alt accounts etc.

The stuff that people come up with to get through any kind of barrier is impressive. It doesn't bother me. More power to them. I'm just calling it now.

Rather than go through a month or two of the same shit but in gate form, disable both.

this is also not supposed to be easy on reds but this day and age it is EXTREMELY easy on reds (no cut zones, allowed in towns etc.)

this has been said many times already but ill say it again....this isnt uoforever, stop trying to make it like uoforever pvp. if uoforever pvp was so great why didnt you stay there???????? oh yeah thats right....it sucked so bad everyone left and you didnt have anyone to fight.

its time to learn new tactics and ways to pvp instead of using the same lame ass zerg tactics.
