UO:F Wiki Updates

I'm not alone when i say that the wiki is severely lacking:

http://www.uoforum.com/threads/outdated-website-and-wiki.74852/
http://www.uoforum.com/threads/mining-past-100.75086/
http://www.uoforum.com/threads/rda-wiki.64832/
http://www.uoforum.com/threads/add-asylum-to-the-wiki-dungeons-page.74331/

Hopefully this thread will serve as somewhat of a "to-do" list of what info needs to be added (@halygon thanks for your hard work on this!).

Feel free to post any information that you'd like to see added to the wiki site, or anything that is incorrect that needs changed.

So as my first requested additions:

1) Benefits of mining past 100? Does it increase chance at receiving more colored ore? Better double smelting procs?

2) Meta steed info
(http://www.uoforum.com/wiki/index.php?title=Meta_Pets)

3) Resisting Spells info
How does it apply? A formula would be nice (similar to the formula on the veterinary page). The wiki page makes no mention if higher skill provides a chance to resist all, or partial (how much?) of the incoming damage. How does it relate to the caster's eval int?

figure stuff out yourself is much more fun
Certain thing's cant be "figured out" and are only explained by voodoo magic within the server's code. In some cases, the answer could be the difference between spending 100s of thousands of gold on power scrolls/materials to build a template that will provide absolutely no gain for the intended purpose.

I'm not saying you're wrong by any means, what you posted is just a matter of you're opinion however. In the end, it's not like you're forced to use the information provided. It won't take away from the ability to "figure things out on your own" if you want to go that route.

UO is also a relatively complicated game. This lack of information leads to new players becoming frustrated or feeling completely lost at times. There's definitely a load of good information there already, but with a lot of custom features it'd be nice to have some direction on some of the finer details for sure.

A bigger map (higher resolution), with more detail and points of interest.

A Britain map on one image, not two.

Updated Met Pets Wiki page to include the two new meta types. I will have one of the devs fill in the details that are missing right now.

Only half-ass read what you typed and brain when numb when I saw:
"Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea commodo consequat."

Then I re-read what you typed, after googling the above text.

Conclusion: I need more coffee.

  • Meta Dexxer
    • Graphics, images of leveling
  • Meta Mage
    • Graphics, images of leveling
  • Meta Pets
    • Graphics, images of leveling
  • Correct Map of Brittania with added land that was created by UO:F Staff.
    • Moongates
    • Towns
    • Dungeons
    • Shrines
  • Crafting - needs revamped to make it look a little more official.
    • Go more indepth with RDA Crystals, Legendary Hammer, Move out of the RDA tab and place under the Crafting Site
  • Conquest System - Update
    • Show all achievements and requirements that are shown in game. (This will yield information to people who can't login that are bored at work or on the shitter.)
    • Update available Titles through conquest system and other "pixels"
  • RDA's
    • Clean up the boss's, maybe get some information about them. Their type of fight, but don't give away free information on how to kill them. Can't make it to easy.
    • Relic's ----> Move to their own page, more description of what they do, currently no info and no images.
    • Dragon Egg --> Needs info. Leveling, steps, how to train, amount of XP needed per level.
    • Power-scrolls aren't up to date here. Some of the skills aren't listed that have acquirable power-scrolls
  • Rares - Not sure wtf to do with this yet.
  • Titles - This looks ok, maybe move the list from "Conquest" to here instead, and make a list of 1 single title using all available hues with numbers shown.
  • Bounty System - I don't even want to mess with ATM.
  • Naval Combat - Someone should try to get in touch with Yoar/Rumple/Jax and find out what they would like to see done with this.
  • Meta Talismans - This page is the sole reason I want to volunteer my time to update this fucking wiki.
  • Butler - Only needs small updates, where to acquire him/her, how much it costs. And who can adjust his properties.
  • Meta Pets - This page looks good but I feel like It should all be staggered together with the Tali's, Mage, Dexxer, Tamer pages. No unity between the whole "Meta" topic.
This is just the start of what I plan on helping with only because it's custom features to the shard. Personally it's a pretty core list to get fixed since it's custom content and can help bring people to the server.

If the Admins know of anything that will be changing please let us know before we spend time getting information that could be useless.

LOL me and Bojangles on a mission.
