No End Game Potential for Non-Tamers

an argument I offer towards the extra firepower of tamers is the double grind they endure to get a lvl7 meta: first the grind of leveling up taming, then the grind of leveling up a meta-pet. Also, the different classes / talisman options create very different types of pvm characters. Tard, I know you run with a resistance talisman so you are also likely to always have over 100 armor and other resistances to monster abilities. I most often do champs with an archer with the appropriate slayer bow, and a berserker talisman, still just at lvl 1. And if I can be at a champ when it starts and see it through to the end, I am usually in the top 3. The difference is that I am much squishier. You should know this as a fact. Because you, Tard, have before killed me right as Semidar was red-lined and I saw the ps pop into my pouch right as YOU killed me. If this does not show that there is balance, I don't know what will....

I have a level 9 meta dexer (berserker, which is important since that means extra offense not defense) and a level 7 4 damage relic meta and I can tell you I can out score my meta at a champ no problem I can also take down any single mob quicker with my dexer. It requires a more active game play approach as you don't have 900 hp but 100% dexer can out dps meta drag. It is silly to complain that you are not top damage when you choose a tali that is defense. I would expect you can tank mobs better than a level 7 meta Dragon.

Maller read the post dude. I said that classes should be balanced but they should require the same amount of grinding and risk.

Even maxed out talisman with slayer armor you cannot tank mobs better than a level 7 meta. A balron can prove that.

There's no need for tamers to get in uproar over other classes having end game content. Its not about taking away from one class to give to another. Its simply about letting other classes have the same end game potential by offering them more content. There could be additional content for tamers as well. I don't see why anyone would be opposed to having more options to develop their character class. If the amount of work and the amount of risk is the same for all classes then who cares if you spend months grinding for a tamer versus grinding for a warrior/mage?

parry swords tactics anat healing resist magery, orange petals max armor even without any of the new meta or relic bullshit you can stand in the middle of destard, despise, and terra level 1 and 2 spawn with it surrounding you and never die. You will have double the points of most tamers by 3rd level and can literally afk the rest of the champ if you wanted. (i would hide my dexer somewhere and bring in my tamer for the higher 2 levels and would get insane damage points, especially at destard with all the paragons) would usually finish top 5 on my dexer and somewhere on bottom of first page - second page with a decent chance for a scroll for both.

Im sorry but you just cant convince me that any tamer can out DPS a correctly outfitted dexer. (a slayer wep)
You are hitting every second for 100+ most of the time if you are doing it correctly.

Look we can agree to disagree and the point of the thread is still valid. I use slayers, petals, roll with 120+ AC, stay 120'd with pots and all that and I know a tamer with a level 7 meta that can get literally twice the number of points. I surpass most tamers in points as you do as well but saying a dexer can get even slightly close to a lvl 7 is just not the case. All I can say is ask around because anyone that knows what a lvl 7 meta can do in comparison to a dexer will surely point out that the difference is huge. But we've both said our piece about the lvl 7 meta vs dexer champ comparison so let's just move forward. The primary objective of my original post is that it would be awesome to see classes have equal opportunity in terms of end game content.

How many level 7 meta's with relics are in that group though? It's more obvious to someone like Tard because there's a bunch

Dexxers CAN yes, but I'd love to see any dexxer compete with @bradley- if they're both there for the same amount of time.

Pro tip. you wont.
I wonder about this. Pound for pound, dollar for dollar, who has made more gold? A tamer with a level seven meta and maxed out relics or a dexxer with maxed relics?

Made more money.. To hard to judge as poker, idocs, luck with drops etc. Does more damage? Tamer for sure.

If I had to guess, I'd say the meta dexxer might have it, though not by much. The tali costs next to nothing to get, the cost of the vanqs replaced by the gold from the 100 mobs. You don't need all four relics to be successful. Altering a template only slightly can make you a big baller with two or even one relic. So dexxer relic we're talking an investment of what? 5 mil?

Meta pet, to be competitive, we're talking 3.5 for an egg + stone and then another 13mil for qs and molten for a total investment of at least 16.5mil.

Not to mention a taming investment with the ps when a dexxer can be 7x'd for pennies on the dollar in 24 hours.

I just wrote out a while long post with math and everything but since people won't believe that I'll just offer to show you some time. Pm me and we will set up a time for me to join your crew at a spawn and I will get top score with a meta dexer.

problem with "endgame content" (99% of the time): It's not endgame content but a who-can-grind-the-most-contest-and-who-is-willing-to-spend-the-most.

cant turn UO into something it isnt (a well balanced RPG where all classes are equally good at everything)

I believe you. I farm super fast, easy spots which yield high gold and possibly decent items and my dexxer is killin it.

Although sometimes I feel like power farming and I'll keep my tamer on standby with junk drags to run while my dexxer is in cool down.

The amount of gold I make when I do this is ridiculous. If I actually wanted to farm for an hour straight, which I don't, I'm sure I could pull in well over 100k in that hour.
